Ok well you are on an island with this take. Most agree he hasn’t been good. 4 points in 10 games isn’t good. 1 goal in ten games isn’t good. You are impressed by that? I guess you set the bar pretty low for him, I haven’t.
When you put a 100 point player on what is the third line, and you expect him to perform, your coaching skills are questionable.

Intelligent. He’s been abysmal. Enjoy whatever player you are seeing in your head. Most of the comments coming in agree. He hasn’t been good.
Disagree, he was excellent this game considering his linemates.
Tocchet needs to get his head out of his ass and put some players with Pettersson who he can pass with.
This is Tocchet's series to lose... for a coach to try to blame one player for a failure of his system is complete horseshit.

All those wet blankets screaming and crying... relax.
Its a 3 game series... with the Canucks having home ice advantage.
Tonight was their worst game... and they nearly forced OT.
Oilers score on a seeing eye shot.
See you on home ice.

I’m surprised no Hoglander. We could use the 25 goal even strength player in the the 3rd. Tocchett over thinking the defensive game plan.
Disagree... I like what Karlsson has shown.

Myers is playing an excellent game.
Big Z has been mostly playing a safe conservative game... he was probably told by Tocchet not to stick his head out.
Hughes is playing well.
Cole a little shaky.
Juulsen showing his inexperience.
Hronek has been generally good... some decent plays.

Sure are a lot of bandwagon jumpers on this forum.
Please take your wet blankets with you.

I'm convinced he's betting against us so he can make up the extra mil he thinks he left on the table.
F*ck you lying piece of sh*t.

Fellas... sorry but I am not panicking.
I think the Canucks played better than the score in the 2nd.
I predict they will come back in the 3rd.

Pickard. Making routine savess is not good goaltending. Way too easy for him.
Pickard has been lucky the bounces are going his way.
Lousy rebound control.
If Oilers win and they play Pickard again in Game 5, Canucks will romp on him.

It's been a pathetic showing. Have a chance to go up 3-1 and lay an egg. We dont have that killer instinct, shame
Quit whining... the game is not over.

Yes, multiple... Garland... just before the goal Pettersson put a puck on the sticks of Karlsson and Mikheyev in front of the net... lots of other examples.

The team is completely disorganized and disconnected. Passing is trash, zero pressure, very little physical play.
They will not win playing like that.
Disagree... I think they outplayed the Oilers in the 2nd half of the period....
Juulsen made a mistake.... cancelled out the positive play.
Lots of time.

Better period for the Canucks.... unfortunately Juulsen's inexperience showed up...
Gotta know when to step up and when to play your position.
He got the big hit, but allowed a two on one.
By no means is this game finished.
I think the Canucks have plenty of time.

Pickard rebound control is shit.

He got pushed off the puck like he was feather. Other players were bad on the pp too, but he’s downright useless…sryHe was pushed DOWN, AFTER he made passes to others.

I thought Silovs had an excellent first period.
Looked calm and composed, stopped lots of dangerous shots.
The shot which went in he caught on his chest and was unlucky that it deflected and went in... could easily have bounced out or over the net.
He looks good.

I'm guaranteeing you the Canucks have a better 2nd period.

Canucks had a case of nerves... not unexpected... wait for the 2nd period and see what they do.
If they continue to be dominated, then worry.

OMG, that power play was so painful to watch. The entries, Jesus.
And my god, Pettersson is so flaccid. Just such an embarrassment for a star player.
Bullsh*t.
He didn't turn over the puck... other players made bad passes... Pettersson was on the money every pass he made on the PP.
He carried the puck into the zone... passed it off... and the Canuck who took the pass turned it over.
He had zero opportunities to shoot.

Y’all need to calm the fuck down , everyone knew the oilers would come out hard .
you guys act like we just lost the series
Exactly... plenty of time to go... only down by one.
Watch, the second period will be different.
I thought Pickard was shaky.... he put out a couple rebounds which he was lucky his D got squared away.
If he keeps on doing that, the Canucks will burn him.

That's why we should have experimted with Zad net front at the end of the season. These type of adjustments are dim to Coach Tocchet.
Problem is not the netfront... problem is getting into the zone and established.

Ahhh... now we know where you are coming from.... its all on the Swedes.
So, Naslund, Sedin Twins, Ohlund, Granlund, all those 'soft' Swedes... they are to blame for everything.
Better take them down from the rafters and the wall of fame I guess.
