Biden should start challenging DT to physical competitions.

Not a chance Don can ride a bike.

If they did, they'd need an engineer to reinforce the bike.

    What's an NPC?

A 'non-playable character'. A character in a video game that can't be played by the user.

Edit: I thought I was joking...

Not really sure what Matthews has done so far to deserve the C more than JT. Sure he scores a lot of goals, but not when it counts. He kept playing last season to chase for 70 goals, failed and then didn't keep himself healthy for the playoffs.

And lol what does JT 'being very involved' in the process with the stripping of his captaincy even mean?

Very involved with deciding where he's getting traded to?

Do we know who needs to clear waivers?  Hoglander can't be send down, Podkolzin would be snapped up, Karlsson, Bains?  They're 23/24 years old. We can't really afford to lose these kids for nothing but that's the business I guess.

I would say if Lekkerimäki makes the team, that probably means either Sprong or DiGi get sent down through waivers.

If I'm reading Puckpedia right, Bains is exempt until the end of this season due to his 3 year window being up, and he's only played 8 games out of his 80 game requirement. Karlsson also has his 3 year window expiring, only playing 4 games out of his 60 required. Capfriendly made it easier, lol.

Right but ELC in minors doesnt affect NHL ELC terms. So for example, Podz is at risk for waivers because he already played X number of games 2 years ago.

Silvos is a good example. The reason why we could extend him so cheap is because of # of games played regular season.

Of course I am not an expert, but if we play Lek for 40 games this year he gets a big contract a year earlier. (2027 I think at the end of his ELC)

Silvos was on a similar ELC and they got him signed Cheap for 2 more years because of limited NHL games.

So it's the waiver eligibility then? I'm not concerned about that, to be honest. 160 NHL games, or 4 years until waivers apply to him. If he's good enough to play 160 by the end of his ELC, then we don't really need him to be exempt. If he's earned a good payday, there are plenty of expiring contracts between then and now, and we can move someone if we need to. The cap may well be around $100m for the 27-28 season as well, with OEL's dead cap back down to $2.1m.

I dont think the window is that small. If they let Boeser go, then the window is this year or bust.

However if they keep this core with JT, Boeser, Demko, Hughes, and now Debrusk with Petey, our window stretches out to 2031.

CAP management is key, and with Poolman falling off when Boeser extension comes alive, its Do-Able.

We need to reserve our ELC's till after the OEL hit, thats when we need them. We can do rental UFA's till then.

It was a mistake to spend so much on Lindholm, but the past is the past.

Playing Podkolzin too early might be the lesson... we may lose him on waivers. Might even lose Hogs because he is peaking early and will get $$$.

Just an observation, I keep seeing you saying to reserve our ELC's for after the OEL years as an argument to keep Lekkerimäki in the minors next year, but he's already on his ELC...

100 miles north east of Rostov On Don, place called Morozovsk and its Russian Airforce airfield.

20 hours ago though they took out an S-400 air defence misile battery in Crimea though, so yeah, they can keep hammering the radars and SAM sites in Crimea, and hopefully open up the south to those F 18's

Lots of stuff to shoot at. Image from '23, but I can't imagine this isn't one of their more active bases.

I read that in Olymic boxing the two boxers that lose in the semi-finals get bronze medals.

Why is that?  Why wouldn't they have a bronze medal match?

Yeah, I think in the next few months that's probably what I'll do. Right now he's in a bit of a crazy space and I'm still only like 30% out. I think he's almost certain that I'm trans though, so in some sense the cat's out of that bag. There's a chance I come out to my immediate family in the next month or two and that might the time where I just make it clear for him.

That's essentially what I'm going to do. My mom, sister, and brother in law already know, so I just have to tell my dad first, then drop the news on my facebook wall to everyone else.

Yeah, my current situation is with my former best friend. Nothing yet with immediate family that I really care about, but some day I'll face that. With my friend, it definitely feels like he and his wife don't grasp my end of the situation, but with the worldview they have, that's not surprising. I admittedly didn't ever tell him outright because of his long history of being so anti-LGBTQ that it felt very unsafe. I'm sure he feels very betrayed, but he somewhat unknowingly dug his own grave in that sense over the years. He just never imagined that his best friend would actually be queer, so he didn't think to be careful with what he said or thought.

Yeah, that's a tough one... I'd just lay it out for him, 'this is the way it is, come talk to me when you're ready' type deal. If face to face isn't exactly feasible, maybe a PM on facebook? I always find I can type out/write down how I feel more accurately, rather than coming up with the words on the spot. This way you can get your whole message across without being interrupted.

Dealing with severed relationships is tough. Some people don't deal with the changes I want well, though it's unsurprising.

Always difficult to cut ties with people, especially when they're close family and friends. Their reactions could just be that they need some time to process it. My mom was really supportive of me when I told her, but even she admitted she didn't really understand how I was feeling and needed some time to adjust to my identity.

Just keep your head high, and given some time, some of them will come around.

I myself still need to tell my dad, but he's been in and out of the hospital due to his substance abuse, and this last time (4 days ago) they gave him a cognitive test before releasing him, and he completely bombed it, and they ended up suspending his drivers license for 3 months. My sister, who's an ex-nurse, said it's a sign of developing dementia, so 'hold off' on telling him, because he's way too angry to deal with it at the present time.
