  1. "If" So you had more confidence earlier, did you? How about before the season started? Bet you weren't as confident then (either). Despite the team giving you plenty of reason TO have some confidence, you cherry pick a run where they're not killing it. They are fixing the glaring issues....the pp scored a couple of times and looked better. Yes, Petey needs to up his game but, in the meantime, we have others kicking it up a notch. LOL...we don't HAVE a losing record.
  2. "If you can find ways to win" Some here used to use that against us....and when other teams barely beat us they came back with "good teams find ways to win" and "you have to be good to be lucky". Now that we're scraping out some wins that people have penciled in as gimmes they're using them as a strike against this team to say they're not that good. Because they didn't just roll through everyone. I see a lot of double standards being applied in an "us" and "them" way. JT's right....no one cares in the end how teams win...it's THAT they win. Is there reason for concern? Maybe. But no team just slays it every game, no turning back. There are good teams out there battling to prove themselves and on any given night they can put it together and have a good game (or two). And good teams can fall away a bit...doesn't define them. It's the tally at the end of the season that gives a clearer picture of things.
  3. Not sure if anyone else noticed/mentioned it....but JT went 16/21 in the dot. Pretty damn great. 76.2%
  4. Photos courtesy of Jeff Vinnick As much as I loved the Joshua goal (like everyone else), I also really loved how he "gtfoutta my way"d Lindstrom afterward.
  5. I like Rick's balanced approach....have to commend the players for what they've done but work to do. They have to find their game and work out the kinks to get back on stride. Look, no team's perfect or going to kill it every game so I take the losses with a grain of salt knowing that..."it happens". If Petey finds his game again we'll be in much better shape. Need our top players scoring goals and that gives us a huge advantage when they do. Whatever happens, just really happy with this team this year. Unfinished business for sure, but those who are so willing to trash them at every opportunity are missing the point. And a lot of supporting evidence in how far they've come.
  6. Lafferty with 7 hits. Taking care of business. We outhit those pissy birds 34-10.
  7. Woohoo. Wasn't the prettiest win but I'll take it. Joshua's goal was incredible....his entire game was. So glad he's back. I love that I got to participate in the J T MILLLLLLER chant (you know we started it long ago and it's catching on now). I was multi-tasking, cowbell in one hand, flag in the other. Working it. Then my friend (who's just been in a bad motorcycle accident and is on crutches) did a one arm grab of a t-shirt flying overhead in one of those deals where they throw them up into the crowd. Had a g/c inside. All in all it was a great atmosphere in there....getting playoff ready folks.
  8. Yeah, sorry....as happy as I am I won't be wearing a "clinched" shirt. I somehow feel it would be a bit of a jinx...don't get too far ahead of ourselves. It's awesome to be this excited but celebrate the accomplishments AFTER it's all said and done. They can for sure be proud of this season no matter what. But getting into the playoffs (whether clinching or not) is one step in it all. I'd prefer shirts that say Playoffs 2024.
  9. I can't believe Jim isn't happy with his calls....I guess we're all our own worst critics. I loved the "he will play on crutches". Iconic. I have a pen that plays that call. "They've slayed the dragon" too. Goosebumps. And tears.
  10. I kind of like the 12:30 start. Up early, get ready....going to buy breakfast for my kids. Park at their house, quick visit, walk over the bridge to the game. Get home in time for dinner and a relaxing night of winding down after a good win!

  12. Part of the allure and excitement of it all, for me, is that "anything can happen". So I don't have expectations but I do have high hopes. LET'S GO!!!!!

Yay for small town hockey !

  14. BS The puck's on the other side of the stick and someone's edited that in. I saw 4 angles, thanks. They got it wrong and most of the world supports that. LOL someone drawing a black dot for a puck to position things this way won't convince me.
  15. Oh really? I do agree that it's not WHY we lost but it doesn't mean it isn't noteworthy. The Joshua headplant into the boards too. Gotta have better officiating than that, it's dogshit right now.
  16. And I have to also go back to my "whining/bitching" for a moment. How does THIS dangerous play go unaddressed? I'm still pissed at the horrible officiating. No, not responsible for the loss but not really acceptable either. We just got Joshua back and he could've been injured here.
