  1. He's on 650 every once in awhile, always enjoy what he has to say. He's personable and has some good stories.
  2. Team Homan is phenomenal.

    1. Baratheon

      Baratheon

      They’re amazing!
I felt a little bit bad for the Turkish team.  They played awesome but Homan threw those two incredible shots at the end.

Yep, that was quite the game. That Turkish team means business. Homan's so clutch...really comes through with the big shots when needed.

I've been lucky enough to see every game so far (been getting up at 5 am to do so).

So precise ... I love Rachel's game face. Total focus. Good communication on that team too.

  3. Oh man, I'm so ticked off! I'm on holidays (yea) but all day I've been thinking it's Saturday and waiting for the game. WHAT??? I have to wait an entire extra day?!?!? *breaks her stick over the net*
  4. Haven't heard this one in awhile. It never gets old to me, singing it right now. As for Roundabout/Yes....had a high school friend who LOVED them. Rob Z.
  5. I have to say, I really do like @PhillipBlunt's PGT titles. Poutine Swillers. Just noticed that now. Awesome.
  6. Thing is, that's applicable to all teams. Even the so called best of the best have to be firing on all cylinders. We've seen Edmonton completely dog it to start this season. Yet some have short memory spans. Nothing can be accurately penciled in. Get in and who knows.
  7. It's impossible to predict and they're just guesses. Mostly for reasons you've stated: injuries, puck luck, bounces. And....goaltending is huge. Players running hot at the right time. Look, people pencil in teams based on winning streaks (they're doing so now). But, as we've seen cold teams can suddenly get hot and vice versa. There's no telling when a hot team will fall off the pace and so it's really all about everything clicking at the right time. And key players staying healthy. Which is why I hold my breath when JT goes to the room after taking a high hit into the boards or a brutal shot block. Thank God he's tough as nails because losing him would be detrimental. I'm really confident in DeSmith and that's reassuring if Demko struggles. Also, this team has clearly had enough losing and is determined not to let things slide too far. That's become evident. They know how to regroup. There are actual strategies in place to help them do so and coaches aren't just winging it on a hope and a prayer. They have answers for the team. Anyhow, this sort of sums it all up for me. Bring it...I don't/won't get too caught up in looking down the road. I'll enjoy the ride one game at a time. I know how tough it is to win it all. One team, that's it. The rest will ALL fall flat.
  8. Yep, there's a lesson about patience to be learned here. Also....I, too, have to learn it. Last night I was about to post how invisible Aman was. Then he scored. I still am not really on board with him, but we'll see. Juulsen on the other hand...had him pegged from the get go. While he made some mistakes that people pointed out as glaring and screamed to get rid of him for, that physicality he brings is something I always appreciated. He's a beast. JT was enough to have some people rethink how quickly they'd ditch a player. Where would we be now if the "OMG GET RID OF HIM" crowd got their way? Because he slammed his stick and a few gates.
  9. For me, the lotto line's as special as the WCE was.
  10. I really prefer Shorty with Ray rather than Dave. They generate some excitement....Dave's way too monotone for me. I used to find Ray a little over the top with his enthusiasm but the games are more exciting with commentary that infuses some energy in to the calls. This just reminded me of it.
  11. AND I JUST REMEMBERED....I'M ON HOLIDAYS! Thanks boys, for kicking it off in style. Woohoo!
  12. DeSmith quietly taking care of business. Did not go unnoticed.
  13. He just fits in every way with this team. He's got just the right amount of swagger but it's mixed with a whole lot of humility and humour. He understands what's expected of him and is a real team player. Plus...the goals are a bonus!!
