      Yesterday I drove along No. 4 Road in Richmond after work....was blizzard like conditions. Could barely see out the windshield...big black sky. By the time I got near the highway it was sunshine.

       

      Weird weather lately. We're expecting more snow (I hear)....right now, blue sky/sunshine.

      I think it's not enough to get Cherry back on TV. But I think people have just accepted Cherry is old, and going to say stupid things that old people say. That maybe it was time he was off the air. I respect Cherry in his passion and hockey knowledge and he stood up for women's hockey when few others did.

      At least Cherry was less obnoxious than Ron "the weasel" McLean.

    Big fire in Steveston, a long time grocery store went up in flames. Bought all my flowers there. Meat and produce too. So sad. My Dad knew the original owners from the 50's. Super Grocer...formerly Super Valu.

      The only building to be decimated is the Super Grocer (entire building). Seafood House and Laura's Vacuums also have water/debris damage and are closed temporarily. Not sure of anywhere else.

      Nikaido is a ways away and unaffected.

      I've had one of the best years in terms of sick time.

      One bout with the flu and was off 5 days. That's it.

      Pity we can't bank sick time.

    Going out for dinner tonight with a former coworker turned friend. She's a little dynamo and we used to work out together before COVID hit. Even though some workplaces are busts, the friends we make along the way are treasures. Looking forward to it.

      my grandson has moved back to smithers from 2 years in vancouver. great to have him back. i never thought i'ld see him again.

      deb, have you ever made the 7 layer dinner. some people call it the ship wreck dinner. it's like shephards pie but with 7 ingredients. so good. it is layered like shep pie.

      JB has given us a core, while JR and PA  has added hronek and a more effective supporting cast. imo, they still need one more hard to play against winger and an effective rd as a placeholder until or newer draft picks are ready to make our club.

      we have diguiseppe, joshua and lafferty. one on each line but one more for top two lines. with them, we should be able to go toe to toe with vegas.

      I thought FOR SURE Winnipeg would crush the Al's...was nice to see a good game. Bighill being hurt certainly didn't help the Bombers. Oliviera is a beast! And that one handed grab by Mack, wow! A great game overall (I thought).
