Here, let me explain my experience with it. You put something wet in a jar of tea like liquid in a dark closet and leave it...let it grow into a mouldmushroomfungus thing. Then when it looks like it should be part of Hallowe'en.... you drink it. A drink that has fermented yeast, culture, bacteria and has something floating in it that you could float on.
