  1. You don't think players who said it's not how it was maybe felt pressure? That they'd maybe be rewarded/golden boys for defending him? That's possible you know. To go up against your coach takes guts and not everyone's going to do what's right...they'll do what's most comfortable for them. The court of public opinion isn't the only voice on the other side....players and the NHLPA have weighed in as well. I think it's a matter of Babcock wearing out his welcome at this point. I mean, if people are crying wolf over and over maybe there's an actual wolf nearby.
  2. Thing is, he may not even realize how out of touch some of his actions are. Whether it be that he's a narcissist or .... just stuck in the dark ages. There was a time when you did whatever you had to...to get a gig in Hollywood, to get on the team, whatever. People with power and status exploited other people on the casting couch and behind closed doors. He's likely a product of that culture and has not shifted into the here and now.. It's no longer acceptable to cross lines of privacy and decency. Dinosaur coaching and the days of bullying are numbered.
  3. I'm right here! On a serious note, I had a page and a half but I'm going to wipe the slate clean and see what goes.
  4. One side of the story...I get it. But he has a chance to respond if he likes so...we'll wait and maybe get to hear another side. Obviously, no love lost here. But when people feel this strongly, you have to wonder.
  5. That time Bieksa wanted to fight Getzlaf right in front of me but...the refs said no. Getzlaf was being an ass that game.
  6. I worked for an architect who was pretty worried about taking trade secrets (and clients) when we left. There was a clause in our contracts too, although it didn't prevent us from working with another architect. Just protecting his property (he'd written books about architecture).
  7. Good lesson to be learned about that dreaded 2-0 lead.
  8. Oh damn, wide open in front of the net. Not good.
  9. It's a pre-requisite to signing up here isn't it?
  10. I've seen a few contracts like that...it's crazy.
  11. If you have an axe to grind with me pm me and we'll fight it out. Don't waste people's time in here whining about it.
  12. My boss really pushed (again). She said "I'll send you the agreement/terms". I humoured her...I read all 27 ambiguous pages of it. I circled parts that bothered me and prevented me from being persuaded. The data was being stored in different locations/countries and they "couldn't guarantee security". My boss decided to opt out (too).
  13. I couldn't see it either...ok, at least I'm not losing it (well I am but, whatever)
  14. I don't think a resignation will provide opportunity for the story to come out. It'll just die out.
  15. When my boss said the company they were signing on with wanted my driver's license and/or picture ID I said "fine, I want theirs first". Seemed fair. It ended there. Privacy and personal property isn't something to demand of others. There's a reason it's called "private/personal".
