  1. I should have. Poker game at Dad's. My son beat my flush with a ... straight flush. We both had lots of chips/went all in but he had more. Baaad beat.
  2. Heehee, just got in. Toronto's doing what they do I see. As much as I hate Boston....this is fine.
  3. Just tuned in not long ago ....Islanders have tied it up. The commentary is SO lacklustre to me. We're really lucky to have guys with enthusiasm and who aren't so monotone and sound like they're narrating a documentary about book binding. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  4. I hate it when dumb neighbours who don't know try to talk hockey with me. "We don't stand a chance, they'll play us heavy" Me: "we can respond to that, we have our own heavies" "Like who?" I name them off. His response: "Yeah but Myers is stupid" (yes but he's OUR idiot) *Deb rolls up her car window and drives away mumbling "dumbass." I may be a bit of a hockey snob. Also: I was the ONLY car at Ironwood with flags. We should pass a bylaw....NO DRIVING UNLESS YOU HAVE A MINIMUM OF ONE CAR FLAG I do love that it starts conversations to have the vehicle pimped for the playoffs. Two different people came up to my window as I parked to talk hockey with me. GO CANUCKS GO (is anyone else already sitting, waiting for the game like I am?)
  5. Ready to pounce and prove themselves "right". Even if it's at the expense of the team. I get having different opinions but at some point do they buy in with this team? Or do they just go with the odds where one team out of 32 wins?
  6. Meh...they were .500 in April....4 wins (one went to a shootout) 4 losses. And if we go a bit further back into the end of March....they'd lost 6 of their last 10.
  7. That was an incredible game/goal. I've told the story of that day before and my "near death" race to get home to watch that game. My daughter secretly videotaped me when I did get there and I was SO emotional. Dragon slay.
  8. Let's all do the playoff dance....
  9. I kind of really hate these things. I like it when we're the underdogs and set the bar at "one game at a time" without looking too far ahead. I'm a bit superstitious so don't want to jinx it.
  10. So nothing much, really. Towels are awesome...love to walk into a playoff arena and see them lined over the backs of the seats. But what about people who couldn't afford tickets? What about game experiences for them? I'd LOVE them to have an outdoor viewing platform for people to come together. If everyone would learn how to behave like civilized human beings.
  11. I would die right on the spot. Epic. Let's manifest this right here.
