  1. It all good to say that, but if you notice only 1 of the 3 games we won, wasn't a shut out... That suggests to me at least that there were also other issues than Bobby Lu's goals against... The team didn't score enough. Its as simple as that... regardless of issues and reasons Canucks did not score enough goals... Thomas played better than Luongo... But forwards goals dried out... Plenty of opportunities to score, but they didn't.
  2. You keep this up Joe, and your name will end up in the rafters amongst the stars
  3. 5-2 Canucks Miller GWG canucks goalie with most saves
  4. Time heals they say..... So despite having to carry that crap cap penalty of no choice of our own for a fair few years, because Lu go hired to retire by the Panthers, welcome back Lu..... I guess... Still a bit miffed about the whole saga, but no doubt his play here merited a place in the ROH. Had they won in 2011, he would have been hanging from the rafters... Now keep the run going and beat the Panthers... This winning thing is just too much fun...
  5. That might just be it... If he sees, the team is competitive, it may change... Time will tell.
  6. Vancouver media has always made negative remarks and comments about Canucks. Even in 2011 they were having a hard time staying positive... Sometimes wonder if crisis sells more papers...
  7. I don't think JR would have ventured into this, had he not been given full control of the entire operation. He is doing a great job together with PA. Very impressed with how they have improved the roster in a short space of time. A year ago folks were still arguing about whether to tear it all down and start a rebuild, get rid of JT instead of Bo, we had no D outside of Hughes, etc etc... When JR talks, we listen, cause most of the decisions made by the group assembled by him and Allvin have been on point and very good. The real test of course is, if they can sustain this, and how they will navigate the next few years with huges wage increases to several players, while having to deal with the OEL cap penalty. But up until now, they've shown how an NHL franchise with decent players should be run. Long may it continue...
  8. Shouldn't put 'the flow' next to Ron Jeremy... He doesn't deserve that...
  9. Ots the best we've done since AV... who knows where it leads, but I'm enjoying the ride
  10. Magic... just magic... remember when Tocchet took over there were pockets of fans suggestion, that Tocchet hockey would be boring low scoring/entertaining games.... If this is low scoring, boring, low entertaining games, I'll have some more of that please. Its been 10 years since we've had this much joy during regular season. Keep it up...
  11. Yeah... but fire Tocchet, am I doing this right?............................../s
  12. Well we can't be total loser team, if this is the opinion of the opposition. Hats off to Brayden Point.
  13. What a fabulous game... toe to toe with Tampa, and beat them fair and square... Now lots of folks will say the same they did, when we beat the Canes, not playing too well, didn't have Hedman wtc etc..., but we nailed them... This team needs to grow, but it has massive potential. Glory days ahead of us... Bolts showed in the first period, they are a good team, and why Tocchet is so focused on systems. Time and time again, they made blind passes, knowing where and how to go. But as the period wore on, Nucks found their own game and were worthy winners. Happy for Brock, who seems to have found his mojo and gold scoring touch again, and Demko being his best definitely helped, but the 2 players I was most happy for was Kuz, who was everywhere on the ice, and Juulsen... he has got to slowly get into the unsung hero territory. I honestly never thought, he'd be able to hold down his spot, but he has and he is quietly being a really decent defender. Another highlight was Zadorov showing how strong he is.... holy moly... life is good
  14. This.... Been saying this for ages... Benning needed a boss that could control him and his urges... Linden didn't have the expertice that Rutherford has. Massive difference... Allvin and JR are doing good together. It bodes well for Allvins future, even after JR is gone
  15. Yes its great to see we finally have some depth at D prospects... Now we can slowly turn our attention back towards forwards again this draft or next draft. D men normally takes a bit longer, so we may have a crop coming up together in 3-4 years... Which would be perfect for the continuation of this core.
  16. Thanks for again posting this... It's frustrating, when folks almost suggest Benning decided to off board to pick chopped liver, when all the scouting services had him in the top 6-11.... (all of them flip flopping between OJ, Sergachev and Chychrun, as to which of the 3 would be the best D)... The vest majority of this fan base were screaming for a Dman at the time, as we had nothing coming through.... Just like they were at the last draft. OJ unfortunately didn't live up to expectations as injuries derailed his progression (maybe other issues, who knows), but at the time he was well worthy of being picked at 6, which every outlet agreed upon... Hindsight is a magic thing.... Now that Mynio boy, is he going to become a thing?
  17. The window is likely longer, but that's not to say, they shouldn't go for it now... Strike while the iron is hot... if the window is longer (hopefully is), it should give us even more opportunities to go for it. Of course a 26year old D man at low cap hit and term would be even better, but where do we find that mid season without overpaying?
  18. I like Kuz...love his smile and enthusiasm, however If they can swing a deal for Larson, I can see them doing it. When Larsons contract expires, we may have Willander ready... to take his position. As for winger, we are likely going to let go of either Brock or Kuz in the offseason and definitely in a years time to cope with the cap penalty... and to make room for Lekkerimaki (hopefully). It's a gamble, but here and now we are more in need of a rhd than a misfiring winger... even if he start scoring again we have that hole on the D...
