  1. Yes I think you are right on this one... I also think, if he could pot a few, it would cheer him up and get him going... Kuz is not a youngster any more, so if he has to learn to change his game, it might be a big deal... He is trying though, and hope he is given a long leash. What the future holds for Petey/Garland/Boeser/Kuzmenko only management knows, for cap reasons, but if we are going to push on this season, we need all hands to the pumps... if not right now then hopefully not too far into the future. Just hope it doesn't go by the way of another Russian, who had Pronger videos as night stories...
  2. It doesn't take long... So far it has been Brock, Miller, Petey, Garland and now Kuz... Think it's fair to make suggestions about roster changes in order to get max value for dollars and improve parts of the roster. In saying that, I agree it doesn't take much to get folks going. Yesterday it was Petey that should be shipped out unless he signs for $3.95... I have zero doubt Kuz will do well on an NHL team, but he needs time to change on to Tocchets kind of hockey... Whether he can do that, remains to be seen. But christ, give him some time...
  3. Aye even the cheese is off... Get back up on the horse and ride into the sunset as winners.... Bring it on...
  4. Its frustrating for sure... Imagine having an additional $4-6M to sign a top 4 Dman... I think, we'd be at the races... Unfair playing field..
  5. It was Craig Button, who compared Willander to McAvoy... Lets just hope he continues and becomes a stable top 4 D...
  6. Despite not being on the list, I'll just drop in anyway... Happy birthday @Huggy Bear... Hope you had a blast As for Petey, I think he chooses himself, if he wants to stay or go... I think, he is being hung a bit out to dry, because his production has gone down over the last 10+ games, however, we all know that he is capable of refine his form and go on a tear... Salary wise, who knows, I'm sure both sides have an idea... If he wants more, than JR/PA are prepared to pay, he will be shifted... But I have from good sources, @Elias Pettersson that he is staying and will lead us to the SC, so that is good enough for me
  7. Spot on.... JR are the godfather in this organisation just now. PA is the heir to the throne, but I have zero doubt that JR has his finger on most things that happens. PAs lining everything up, but he will have had discussions with JR about his plans... And this is how it should be between the President and the GM. In total agreement (in principle) about the way forward. JR knows more about managing and structure of an NHL team (good and bad) in his little finger, than all of CFF put together and then some. Tocchet obviously fits the bill and the way they both look at it, and wants their team to play, so whether we see much or not of JR likely doesn't matter. He is there as well....
  8. Canucks has something good going now, so why are we trying to stir shit up?... Would you wish for JR/PA to be sacked, or Tocchet to be sacked? What is the point of this? I know, that even if it was handled poorly, it is, what it is... JR/PA are our management team, and as long as the results shows on the ice, and the product is more important than who our coach is, and if he was treated fairly... he got his $, end off
  9. Funny to see Frederick being unhappy the fight was stopped... He should be happy... Shirt over head and Zadorov ready to throw bombs... Yes give us some Zadorov...
  10. Sure does... was told a week or two ago, that the only reason we were doing so well, was that we beat up on the weak kids (teams)... doesn't really look like that anymore now does it....
  11. This is a team still developing into the team Tocchet wants... Its not all about winning every single game, although it great as a fan, but moulding the team in to a team that is able to play come play offs time... Bruins looked like the certain champs last season... it doesn't work like that... I'm just really happy, that we seem to be on the right road... Can I just add here, that a lot of credit has to go to Patrick Allvin, for the job he has done, giving Tocchet and his ass. coaches the right tools to work with. There is still a few wants (I guess), but he has definitely gotten players in that fills their defined roles, at far better value for money, while fitting the system they are trying to implement... Keep up the good work Allvin.
  12. Very well put HTB.... Definitely agree 100% on that. I think, the fact we can in to start the league in top condition this season game us a leg up on a lot of our rivals... and rightfully so. During the season all team has ups and down, and the teams with the least up/downs goes through to playoffs. Same as with injuries... It is a massive advantage to get going straight from the start, and yes the team should be proud of, how well they started this season. We all know only too well, what chasing the entire season looks like...
