  1. Brilliant.... For anyone who thinks fans doesn't matter, think again... I've seen players hardly being able to kick a ball, when being hounded by the fans... There's a reason why home games are a better than away games... Management should use it as an advantage, instead of sucking up to the premium tickets, who does care too much about the games.
  2. Swing a couple of trades for another tougher winger for the 3rd line And maybe get a better RHD in a trade closer to TDL, and we won't be that far off... We definitely have a better player in QH, Hronek matches a few of the then team (Salo), but we still need another top 4 D. Get Beau (and Garland) off the pay list, and we may be able to use the cap space to acquire those two missing parts. (Not hating on Garland, but its a numbers game...)
  3. Keep posting messages like that and CDC will be opened up again soon.
  4. Very good as usual James. Especially the bottom 6 part... Garland looked good, even though he didn't score, and they did create a fair amount of grade A chances... The one player I'm concerned about is Beau... He looks really devoid of confidence. On the plus part Hogs looks like he has found his mojo. Cole and Friedman are really good in their positions and Soucy has been rather anonymous, which is a good thing. Most of the players are playing to or above their pay checks, which is exactly, what we hope for. Especially since we don't have any ELCs at the moment. It was against a tired Blues team, but as was stated several times prior to the game, first home game after a long road trip, they have had a tendency to not turn up.... This bodes very well for the future... Onwards and upwards.
  5. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha....... '' YOU LOOK NERVOUS '' That was so good. What a dominant performance from the boys against a team on it second game in a back to back.... They came through with flying colours.... Hope Beau finds his mojo again, at he looks almost lost out there. I like, what the Tocchet is cooking....
  6. Miller can draft the team into the fight on nights, when it isn't going to plan. His aggressiveness and a hard work up front inspires... Bo was a nice bloke, but he rarely dragged us beck into the fight, when we are were on our heels... The bubble being the one time he really stepped up to the plate together with Motte... I don't have anything against Bo, but I am glad Miller was the player chosen, if they had to chose between the two... Its actually been fun to see, how he reacted to Tocchet more authorial style.
  7. Exactly... Now its time to push forward... Who knows, what tomorrow will bring, but wasting what we got, in the hope of maybe get something better, makes little to no sense to me.,,, and by the look of it to management as well. What's the point of offering Petey a $11-12M contract, if he can't lead us forward? And that's provided he even wants to sign a contract with a team that doesn't show any ambition. We've complained since 2011 that we don't have a no.1 D man... Now we actually have just a no.1 D man but potentially a real top pairing D... So let's bloody see if it is worth building on for the future.... And lets win some damn hockey games...
  8. Yeah glad to see him doing well... We'll see. what happens, but definitely worth a long shot... Should he become good enough to even play a 4th line role, it would be a big win...
  9. If only..... drool... I think its too much to hope for
  10. Been saying this the last year... There's a reason the got rid of OEL despite its going to hurt for a longer period. Something has to give. None of us knows, what are being said during negotiations, but Petey may very well have stated, that he won't extend regardless of money, if this team doesn't't improve... We all know he has sad in public, that he wants to win. They need to figure out now, if the players we have are good enough to build a contender around. They have this year and next... if they still lay in the mushy middle, expect it all to be blown wide open.
  11. How long are we going to wait Gurn? How long? How long is EP prepared to be losing with no end in sight? If this is the plan, then we may as well trade Petey and start all over, and then be ready MAYBE, in 5-8 years... I've had enough of waiting. We have the corner stones, to a good/great team... yes we need luck as well, but who doesn't? Let's not start the debate about the winner have top 3 picks on them. Far more losing teams have top 3 picks on them and are still losing.. To me personally its a master stroke to get Hronek, and who knows, just now he plays with Quinn Hughes, but later may very well be anchoring a strong 2nd pairing.
  12. Lets see some optimism here... Yes we've struggled after road trips, but what haven't we struggled with over the last 10 years... This team is better than what we've had in a long time, and it looks like the players are buying into, what Tocchet is serving. So damn nice to see us actually competing again, and not folding at the first hurdle... onwards and upwards Canucks fans.
  13. The boy is on fire.... please be a true RW for EP in the future... Just need a 'Bertuzzi' to go with them, and we have our next WCE line... This team could actually be really good for a few years to come, if both Lekkerimaki and Wilander continues to progress as hoped for... Lets just hope this is the case....
  14. Question, how about the interviews of the prospects? I seem to recall a lot of stories about how important the interviews were ahead of the draft?
