  1. I think Stenlund is going to cost a few bobs this off season... have been very impressed with him these playoffs... But yes sign me up already...
  2. If this can be fitted under the cap, and without us getting spanked, when the cap issues really starts in a years time, it has my seal of approval... That is a good looking line up...
  3. You kind of nailed it there... unlikeable... Shown zero respect towards their opponents... especially Draisaitl... His ' post are not saves' were a piss poor remark. But it kind of follow the team... the comments from ex players have been just about as childish as the comments by Draisaitl... Don't expect support, when you spit at your opponent...
  4. Sorry but haven't had time to watch all the Coiler games...
  5. I feel the same... Its exactly the same reason, why the rest of the country hates Toronto... the blind favouritism towards a single team, while calling it 'Canadas team'... BS... Most of the fans in Canada, can accept losing and don't mind supporting the other Canadian teams, but when the the press sides with one of the two and that team is a bunch of whiners and divers... it sticks in folks throat... don't think its only Canucks fans, who can see it.
  6. I was never a coiler hater and never particular disliked them. Always hurt when you get eliminated and for a short time it stings. But the diving of this Oiler team, with all the skills and ability on it, really turned my stomach. in particular, when we had to endure the blindness of the commentry, and the blatant favouritism of a Canadian broadcaster towards one of the two teams. Its been quite a long time, since I enjoyed a teams misery as much as I've been enjoying the downfall of this lame arsed Oilers team, and all their pundit cheer leader... Enjoy the pain you lousy bunch of whiners...
  7. Money ball.... There is a reason we can't afford to keep Joshua, thus finding a replacement for him is NOT going to be ready made... neither was Joshua, when they picked him up. Nevertheless we still need toughness and player, who can play physical, and if we get a player that can play physical and PK for $1.1M its a massive win in my book. whether he replaces Joshua or not depands on what other players can do eith from within (Podz, Sissons, Raty etc.) or by another trade/pick up. Joshua going definitely leaves a hole, but we should not just consider one physical player, but several in our line up. 4th line would have been great with a more physical player on it.
  8. I was on record stating, that even a one round win, would make the Lindholm trade worth it. The team performed better than I expected, and our young core now know, what it will take to win in the playoffs. It was actually close to become a fairy tale, being 3-2 up in the series... And with Oilers taking out Dallas with relative ease showed, we could possibly have gone all the way to the finals. I still believe the trade was a win... if you smell blood, don't wait for a better opportunity, as they don't cone around too often...
  9. I guess, there are certain players you give lee way... Maybe they accepted that Peteys calling card would be around $11M or there about. There is no doubt, that Peteys performance in the play offs wasn't, what many expected including myself. Still hope/expect/believe that he was hampered by the leg injury, he told us all about after the play offs. Allvin has his hands a little tied up just now, as the deals he makes has to be with one eye on the future (next 3 year) and the cap penalty coming. Lets see what Hughes is going to get offered in 2 years time. His next contract is likely going to break the bank with the cap going up, and even Brock and Demko will be licking their lips. Good luck to Allvin and the front office trying to find the funds to pay for these players going forward...its going to be a minefield, but showing the rest of the UFAs that we are willing to walk away despite paying a good package for Lindholms services may just be, what the doctor ordered in other negotiations. If not, very few of the UFAs/RFAs will be around next season. Lets see if the front office can find the deals they did last season and keep the wheels moving. Here's hoping
  10. Not sure about Monahan... 4x$5M if he doesn't work out he'd be an anchor... However the Kane deal until Lekkerimaki is ready could be good.
  11. Well agree to disagree... Lindholm doesn't win us a cup??? He is exactly what you need to win a cup... Have you checked he point production during play offs? He was really good for us... But everyone has a prize, and if we are looking for a winger for Petey, it can be debated, if Guentzel would be the better choice... However to say you don't win championships with players like Lindholm, is just not true... If that was the case do you honestly believe management would have given up all the assets they did?
  12. I like Lindholm, and would like to get him re-signed, but.... I am really pleased that management once again shows the players, that if they have numbers ready, they are willing to walk away from deals they feel get too expensive... They clearly show, who dictates the pace in Vancouver... similar to what they did with Horvat... Bravo Allvin.
  13. Win game 3, and the let plugs take turns to pound Drai in game 4...
  14. Wouldn't mind see McD getting smacked around a bit... I never realised how much he likes to use the wood, either towards smaller players, or once the refs are in between him and the opponent during scrums... About time somebody laid him out with a 'Torres" hit...
  15. Exactly... no whining... its refreshing to hear... just like hearing Tocchet...
  16. This is definitely very true.... and understandable
  17. Thanks... puts it into perspective... On top of that, I doubt they just pluck Krog without having a clue, if he is actually good at, what he does... If anything they have been excellent at bring in the right staff, both on and off the ice... don't see why that would change. Think they definitely earned the benefit of doubt, before anyone starts to be concerned...
