I haven't had a chance to hear post game reaction, and m maybe giving too much credit to Petey, but even if he was gassed and just gave the pass to Stud, most players would have tried to score themselves gassed or not...

When you play a team with a few players like McWhine and Drai, this can easily happen... Thing is the team never folded despite being put under pressure... This was a massive statement game, as Oilers really wanted revenge.

True... A have a hard time thinking McD would play in a 4th liner in that situation instead of taking the shot himself... That is what makes some players truly magic... the ability to see a pass or do the unexpected...

Its borderline annoying, when it is all focussed around 1 or 2 players... 6 replays of McD missing a shot... 3 replays of Drai hitting the post with one extra so we all could hear the zing...

Still have Mika to come back and Soucy on the backend...

They did.... but just far more enthusiastic about the Oilers... Almost as if they were waiting for them to steam roll the Canucks.

Spot on... Most players will take the shot them selves, but Petey played in Stud and to out the D himself... Had Stud not scored the Canucks would have gone on the PP... it was a great play, and also took the keeper by surprise.

Thank the lord almighty for that... It was almost embarrassing hearing DeBrusk creaming himself over McWhiner and Drai.... He had a hard time getting over Canucks bending Oilers over once again...

Both sides knows that... Its a no brainer...

He could take a page out of Pete's playbook, when he set up Studnicka... That was a moment of magic and shear class...

On a side note, is this bunch of gutsy hockey players really the same players, that has been so eager when the chips were down the last few seasons? Haven't been so proud of this team in ages... Too many outstanding performances to mention, but obviously DeSmith has to be named... Back up goalie? On that performance he could be starting goalie for half the teams in the NHL. And the usual unsung heroes in the bottom 6... Just fantastic effort from everyone. Even if there was the odd gaffe, they didn't let they head down, but battled even harder. So damn proud of the boys today. Keep it up boys.

He is just a whine... nothing more nothing less... bad loser and a bad winner. Thank god we didn't have to hear that kind of pathetic talk when Sedin was our Captain... or others for that matter... you take it on the chin, own up and move along. Bet you the Canucks will be so much more fired up because of that greetin faced tosser.... On a side note, he was crying about us playing the reserve goalie in the third. So what is it? Are we playing too strong a side or are we playing too weak a side?? He is just a lame loser....

This.... No guarentees, but keep the intencity up and they will be fine. Even if we lose narrowly, they'll walk away from this double header 10 feet tall...

Oilers will want revenge for the embarrashment... They'll come out hard. Boys better be prepared, but if they can resist them in the 1 period, there's a great chance McWhine and Co will fold like a knife... Regardless, we will always have oilers 1 Canucks 8.... Exactly... McD has zero class... he's a fabulous hockey player, but it all about him... Bet you, he throws his own team mates under the bus in the locker room as well. A proper captain just states we were not good enough today, but we will learn and get better... none of that 'Dem took my Cody crap'... Take it like a man, and you'll earn respect. If they don't hammer us, he'll look like the fool, he is.... It'll be a tough game, and I can see a lot of dirty play coming up, but I think it'll be close.
