What a great and well written and argumented post @Boudrias. While agreeing on all points, I guess, one will have to draw a line somewhere in how deep we go into details. There is definitely an argument to be had for lighter schedule/rest in the 4th quarter, and we can probably all agree the team looked more capable of scoring throughout the first 2 quarters of the season. But if Tocchet has been able to close ranks defensively compared to previously, then a massive hats off should come Tocchets (and Foote/Gonchars)way. A massive call was made by Tocchet refusing to play Kizmenko, and having him shipped out for Lindholm. It looked less stellar during the start of his tenure here, but maybe the wee rest and healing up, was what the doctor ordered. I still hope, he'll be able to play with Petey and have Bluger as our 3rd line C instead. Time will tell... Just so damn happy we are going to the play offs again. Its been a while....

Cheers amigo. It has definitely felt like ages between the games compared to most of the season. Really pleased for you all, that you get to follow the prospects more closely now after they relocated the baby Canucks to Abby. It also give the rest of us a lot of info on the progress of the youngsters.

Think that the last 20 games were played at a less hectic pace, which would have benefitted the team. But yes quite impressive really...

You think Hansen was a 4th liner? or Mika... our 3rd line with Hansen, Malhotra and Torres is the best 3rd line I remember, although the newest one is brilliant as well.

I agree... but would like to see some aggression from him... he is fast, and last year he didn't seem to have a problem finding the net... If only.... Hansen had a bit of nastiness in him, and I miss that in a few of our players... I'm sure it'll come though.

If they could get Mika swapped for a scoring winger. We'd be set....

I'm disappointed he wasn't playing... would have loved to see Souzy or Z staple his ass to the boards...

If Mika worked as hard as Hansen, he would be hailed here. he was a proper 3rd liner with speed.

Don't quite get, why folks are worrying themselves with somethings they can not change... The roster is set... it is, what it is good or bad... Join the fun of finally having play off hockey again. They may fold, and it all end in tears, but if so remember this is a learning process... @stawns pointed it out a fair few months ago, that most teams need a few play offs before they become true contenders. So let them play instead of worrying about what happens next... enjoy the process... And if, just if, it all goes beyond our wildest dreams so be it, and if not, at least the team got a bit of experience... We will need a lot of things to go right to make any noises, but at the same time, this team showed it can go toe to toe with anyone... Its been a mixed bag since the ASG garbage... but @kilgore brought up a great point from D&D, that maybe just maybe being in the driver seat so long and knowing they clinched, have made them less hungry, while waiting for the play offs to start. Boston got dumped in the 1st round last year, when everyone thought they'd win it... Let just enjoy we have late season hockey to look forward to instead of only 2-3 months of draft discussions... Bring it on....

This was always going to be the issue... Hronek will play ball or be history... there is a limit (which only management knows, what is) to how high they can go on players, if they still want to be relevant in 2 years time... economics... in saying this, they didn't pay well for player only to ship him out...Good RHDs is hard to come by and they are premium...

I may have missed something, but I have an issue with a list of top 100Cs where Miller isn't featured while Lindhom, Hubedeau, Kadri, Horvet etc feature...
