Short summery... Demko is a wall and its great to see Kuzmenko smile again. And the PK has good numbers....

Basically 3 firsts (at least 2 of whom are looking like top players) + 2 2nd round picks (at least one is an NHL player + a 39 goal goalscorer and a 4th round pick....... Why not give them QH and Petey while we're at it.... Don't care how good EK is, but there are at least likely to be 3-4 good nhl players amongst those... and basically the future of team minus Petey and Hughes.... Doesn't sound like a good investment. On the other hand, if we go all in and don't win in the next two seasons... It could be argued, if a quick rebuild should be considered. Selling QH +EP + Brock + Miller (or something like that) should be enough to give us a good starting point for a proper rebuild. Don't see a future for this team with Petey and QH on it, if there are no quality ETC's to enter the line up, in the next 2-3 years... I don't want this, but can see the reasons for going all in...

I was so happy to see Kuzmenko smile on the bench on Saturday. I know the timing probably wasn't right, but it suggested he hasn't lost heart. If that is the case, he may still turn it around. Also suggests he has been told, not to get down over it, and that they still believe in him... The last game he was the only top 6 player with even +/-.... and while that doesn't tell the whole story, it does suggest, he and his line isn't a liability... Every locker room needs somebody to lighten the mood, and a banana and coke might just do it

Just win.... keep the run going. And Please please please get Kuz and Mika on the score sheet.

Too bad we won't meet Leafs during the playoffs... We would use the first 2 games to destroy them physically, and then just blow them away... I would guess in 5 maybe 6, but last night showed they couldn't handle it, when the boys became physical... even with a few weak calls... just made it even better, that we didn't win because of the referees... Seeing an $11.5M dollars contract handed out to Nylander makes me shake my head... For all the debate about, how Tocchet deals with Kuzmenko, have a look at Nylander that soft weenie, on the third of the Canucks goals... He was almost trying not to get hit, instead of blocking the shot... Thank god Tocchet is learning/forcing Kuz to play the right way... It's all good and dandy to see players score goals, but if they can defend a fish supper, what's the point. Nylander with 61 points and only a +3... Leafs are sinking.... and we get front row seat to watch

I'll add to that, last time we were in playoffs, he was our best Dman... only bit of truculence... He got some cross checking penalties for that, but I want us to fight fire with fire...

This is also very true, but we can only go by, what we see and how it is atm... With every single contract they hand out, they take a chance... Miler will likely decline at some stage, but if we could live with LEs $6M for 6 years and Myers 6x6, then I think, its fair to think, that we'll survive Millers contract, even if heads south at the last part of it. As one of the top players in the league, he must surely be categorised like that now, he is a bargain at $8M/year.

Weird game.... Destroyed them in the first, only to let them back in.... But thankfully we pulled another win.... Demko was unreal in the third.
