Most likely be a depth RHD for a minor league guy going the other way. A team trying to get something back for a guy they would lose on waivers. 

Correct but I think that they will try the waiver pick-up or trade with Hughes. It’s not that hard to be Hughes partner. Schenn did it quite well and he’s a bottom pairing at best. It’s about finding balance for the other 2 D pairs. Having someone play with Hughes provides that. 
 

One day if we get a No.1 RH Dman to play with Hughes. That would be incredible and a force

We weren’t really ever a rebuilding team. Maybe a year or 2 of rebuild mode. But outside that it was always about playoffs which was basically impossible. That was the problem

Like....these are all essentially busts based on their draft positions vs the careers they've had up until this point.  We flamed out on 2 in hort order and that sucks but when you look at that decade and who was drafting where and for how long it could have been so much worse.

Certainly very intriguing....if we had no Myers and a legit Hughes partner, it would be more likely IMO. Otherwise, I still think we're best off seeing if we can snag a Bjork/Pachal/Coghlan

I got thinking of that other Larsen we had a few years ago as well. I think he got destroyed behind the net and never played with the Canucks again haha
