Don’t worry guys Dumba is available. Turns out we won’t have to trade Boeser after all!

They are not going to go overpay a bottom pairing defender. That we should be able to trust.
Yeah I guess whoever we sign will be considered an upgrade by folk here

10 years of hockey?
Petey is signed for 8 and his awful attitude and horrible play has me concerned. Do I hope he grows up and becomes humble and plays to his contract absolutely. I'd love nothing more. If he turns into huberdeau then yes...we will be giving away 8 years of competitive hockey with the worst contract vancouver has ever signed. If calgary could trade huberdeau for Crosby you don't think they'd do it? Lastly....I'm playing around here. Not all that serious
I don’t see it that way. But funny post. I do know that fans can be very short sighted

Finally people can move on from thinking we were signing him.
It was a nice thought but not practical

This is my last thread of hope too, I though we were going to after the "news" the other day. Lets keep Z, go for Toffoli or Monahan etc please God lets this stamkos and Guentzel shit die.
Tampa is just sad. Low balling their captain that won them cups to chase something else

I’d take him. 6th right handed D. Insert Juulsen when we need toughness. Never know he would still pan out. Columbus was a dumpster fire

But that's just emotions talking because you liked the guy as a personality and player. Allvin has to care what players are asking for and there has to be a limit what we will pay players. There is a cap to worry about, and overpaying just because he is a fan favourite isn't a smart move.
I liked Zad too, and would love him back here. But my personal figure was around $5m for 5 years, 6 max. If Zads thinks he's worth more than that, then I'm happy he's not coming back because we have other places that extra cap needs to go towards.
More than emotion. It was also a recoup of the assets we spent. I’m still a believer in younger players to fit the core.
And I don’t think management is robotic either, Myers was an emotional signing to them

Does anyone know, what Zad wanted? has it been rumoured or anything?
I also wanted him to stay, but I don't want us to be out of the FA players, just because we don't know a number on Zad...
The 'we ran out of time' still ring in the ears... If anything this management group has done very little wrong... so lets see, what their plan is next...
We've been soft for like the last 15-20 years, so the culture change was great... hopefully we are not back to being lambs to the slaughter, with QH and Petey to fend for themselves again...
Monday can't come soon enough, as this is tearing fans apart...
Yeah for me Allvin had 2 jobs Hronek and Z. I felt the rest could be replaced. That’s what bothers me.
i don’t even know or care much about what Z wanted, I just cared about the result. Seems he’s gone now.
I hope things come together.

While younger is nice dmen that bring what he brings are few and far between especially ones that are readily available. I mean realistically after Dillon the next available one is Trouba basically.
Age, size, need. I juts think z is the best option for our club. I’m just hoping this is some ploy to get him to resign reasonably

There is nothing in this managements history that shows they’re in panic territory. Benning’s been gone a while now
PTSD maybe. Everything seems familiar to me

Unless there is a back up plan....... don't get me wrong, I loved what Zadorov brought, but we can't go to 6 million. 5.25 was the highest I personally would have gone to. But here we are. As for the back up plan, it kind of has to be Dillon, dosen't it?
I just think Dillion will command 4 million so why don’t we go for someone younger. 5.25 was my number too. Guess we’ll see. Hopefully I’m just paranoid and everything will work out.
It’s a huge offseason for our club as we won’t have any cap space the next couple years

SOMEBODY is going to give him $6 million. I just don't think it'll be the Canucks. If they do, it'll scream panic move at this point.
I think they might end up in panic territory

They are never the same. Market changes year to year, but I’d rather see us get some impact players instead of filling holes

Zadorov was making $3.75 million on this contract. If say, the Canucks offered $5 million, and he said no. Then there is the door. Thank you for the monster playoffs you had, but more than $5 million for a waffling between 2nd and 3rd pairing defenceman, I'm sorry no.
Definitely be interesting to see how this unfolds.

This is reminding me of when Tanev signed with Calgary. Signed a very fair deal that we could have done easily and If 500k more for Zadorv would have done it I mean why not? Now we'll go get Dillon or re sign Cole? Not sure getting older this quick is a long term recipe for success.
I don’t think Dillion will come cheap either probably gets 4 million at least

Overpaying is not fair market. If i remember correctly many posters here had hard time to accept price we paid for him.Calling him 7nt defender
Who were those people? Was a steal. I thought if we resigned Z it would make up for what we gave up for Lindholm. Would have been a nice story in my books
