    Funny when we acquired Z it was thought that he would be Myers replacement for years to come even though he was the other hand. Did not see this coming tbh probably why I’m upset about it. Feels like going backwards to me

    I’d almost rather see them sign a Guentzel now that Z is gone. I think we go big. Benning could never go big because of that status of our team so he overpaid the shit out of bottom 6 guys

    Oh I know he was yes but was it good for him was it good for the team? No I don’t think so otherwise we would have been harder to pay against, we were easy to play against

    Thats what I’m saying. He was way over his head to begin with. He’s finally in a place more suited for him and with the right coaching now.

    Man. I actually hated all the Tryamkin talk. Dude left before he even got here. I’ll be done with Z too after this but yeah it sucks. Finally we had a scary defence core but we’ll see how it turns out

    I think somewhere around 5 would have been great but the way Z hit a new level in the playoffs I was ready to give that man whatever he wanted. I do think he has another level too like he said in his interview and I believe him. Hes a big man and sometimes that comes later. I know he’s 29 but Myers is 34 and finally started playing like an NHL defencemen.

    And the Panthers have been in the playoffs for the past 5 years. They also have a guy called Barkov. We have a Pettersson and Hughes. No reason they can’t model a team around those guys for the next 10 years

    Yeah we’ve been through hell. A almost a decade and a half of losing. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a few years of battling for a cup. If we don’t get it then we have to wait another decade. Lots of teams do it for 5-7 years. Why can’t we. Why do we make those trades for Z and Lindholm and not even retain one of them. Why are we trying to build a D core of old dudes. If Willander doesn’t turn out we’re screwed

    I don’t think it will haunt us. Just think it’s dumb. We will have so many holes in the bottom 4 in a couple years. Allvin trying to win the cup next year. I’d prefer a 5-7 year plan with this core
