john's widow gave a great eulogy. i couldn't do that at my wife's funeral. she held it together quite well.
-
I love that it was long and she got to express everything. She was so brave. How difficult for her to navigate this - will have 3 children under the age of 3 and there will be moments when it's difficult. I'm just glad they do have what seems to be a great support system, it'll be needed after the initial shock wears off. Right now I imagine they're all still numb.

is silovs now playing for latvia at worlds? i thought he hasbeen ruled out of that.
-
tocchet says, he'll let the players be more creative. great news, but will he scale that back in the defensive game suffers?
-
betts looking like the top defensive lineman he was when he left for nfl. lions looking good.
-
our little problems aren't that important. life is more important and should be cherished.
-
mathew betts, back with the lions. expected to play saturday.
who's next?
-
doc phoned, my potassium is back to normal.

We have a great cap structure with this management, No stupid long-term contracts that will have us hemmed up..Just the key pieces are signed long..We will have money to splurge with in the near future whereas lots of other teams will likely be in cap trouble..I'm sure PA will nab some great d-man from out there via trade or FA..Don't worry bud.
-
Sorry if I'm misunderstanding @smithers joe.
Are you saying we still don't have depth on RHD?
We have more RHD depth prospects than I've seen in years.
I still have hopes that maybe Celebrini might be wild card pick that pays dividends.

willander is the only sure thing to play regularly on our defence. others are maybes.
on the left side we have several that could play in the nhl. too bad we had to trade away to calgary, a good bet to make the team eventually. only we just bring in tough 3rd pair d-men. i'ld like another prospect with a better average chance to make the team.

lions not running away with the game but they are leading at half time. roarke looking better.

@smithers joe I think at this point there's a bit of a reputation factor involved. I've spent a fair bit of time in and around Whalley Baseball/Whalley Ballpark as both a player and coach so I'm somewhat familiar. I've encountered quite a few kids/families who "should" be with another LL but go to Whalley because of its reputation, that's where Dad played, or whatever other reason. I think it also helps that 1) Kennedy Surrey Little League folded in the early 00's and a lot of their kids went to Whalley as it was by far the closest LL, and 2) Surrey Canadian Baseball (the BC Minor option for North Surrey kids) sucks, especially for more competitive players.
About ten or fifteen years ago Whalley LL was really struggling with registration but I think that's improved since then.
White Rock had a good thing going for a bit there about a decade ago but ultimately went to BC Minor instead. Langley (collectively) has a ton of young families and always has relatively high registration numbers in baseball but there's some infighting between the BC Minor/Baseball BC/Little League factions that gets Langley baseball tripping on its own dick more often than not.

my doctor just phoned. my potassium level is dangerously high. she's taking me off meds for my heart. i can't eat leafy greens, beets, potatoes or fruit that grows on trees.
i've grown potatoes, lettuce and beats. anyone short on potassium?
-
i'm really enjoying the little league world series. for me, better than the majors.
-
how about a 6th and poolman's contract for rfa rights to soderstrom?
-
end to end hockey says, calgary may move kuzmenko.
-
i imagine the bombers will rush the quarterback at the beginning to through roarke off his game. we'll soon find out

any cff gardeners out there that can tell me why my tomatoes aren't turning red? i keep them watered and the weathers been warm enough. green with envy.
-
There are some things that can slow the ripening process: if it's too hot, too much fertilizer, too many fruits on the plant, too much sun, and even the type of tomato.
I expected this to be a poor tomato season for myself as it took ages for blossoms to set due to the cold, wet start to summer. And then like with yours, they just wouldn't ripen. But I've been harvesting tasty, ripe tomatoes for the past couple weeks now.
-
i'm alone on this but imo, canucks should sign victor soderstrom to a 2 way contract.
to me it's a win, win signing. the former 11th over-all pick in 2019.
at least if he doesn't get his game together at the nhl level, leave him in abby. i remember a defenceman gave up on and now he is one of florida's best d man.

lions say rourke is 90% ready as far a systems go. they say it's more that he has to forget all the other systems he's had to learn down south.
-
christine sinclair and i have something in common. we both share an ancestor that built roslin chapel and castle in scotland.
i don't kick a soccer ball as good as she does, though.
-
I have a very distant connection to her through my best friends family. My best friend's sister married her brother. I've never met her but I see lots of pictures through their facebook. She does a lot with her neices and they've travelled to see a lot of her games/tournaments. She seems like a great person.
-
wow! nathan rourke is rejoining the lions. i can't believe it.
va is not being traded, so i don't know how this will work.

I agree with the Camaro statement. The only Bel Air part of it is the rear that has hint of the fins of the old bel air. Or it could just be an illusion.
The powertrains of a turbo 2.0 litre, and 3.6 litre V6 is very un-retro.
Want Retro? Get a BMW R18 motorcycle. I'm just not crazy about owning a 760 lbs bike.
I can get a Triumph Bonneville for way less.
Or for a toy, get a Mazda MX-5. With a manual transmission. And go topless.

most hated commercials.
travelled all across canada to talk about your heart, or it's like a shower for your nose. i turn off both commercials.
