      They are able to take the signing bonus as a large lump sum, once a year, and invest it a certain way that reduces the percentage of tax taken (in Canada).

       

      John Tavares was going through a legal battle over it not too long ago, if I'm not mistaken.

    if hronek is wanting 8 mil, i'm for moving him and freeing up cap to sign most of our free agents. i'ld love to see us keep joshua, blueger, lindholm and lafferty up front and zadorov, myers and desmith on the back end. if lindholm would sign for 6.5 mil, keep him. if mikheyev could be moved, JR and PA can refit this team to be solid contenders. we still need a winger to go with petey and hogs. maybe another winger that plays like joshua. i trust management, they have made the types of moves to get nus here.

      Kinda feel like PDG is one of the good ones. We could and have done a lot worse for 4th liners. Wouldn't surprise me to see PDG get to 400+gp

    i don't think my gardens get enough sunlight and heat to grow well. my store bought cherry tomato plants thrive though. mine get the morning sun but not the afternoon sun. just a sunless brown thumb, but i love trying to grow things.

      if vegas beats them tonight and canucks with 2 of their 4 games, edmonchuck would need to win their remaining 5 games to take over first.

      i so want to see edmonton play vegas in round one.  that would put us up against nashville. a little unknown but other than the travel, that would be all right.

      no easy match ups.

    i remember, in 1973 when we still lived in north delta, my brother-in-law spent 40.00 dollars a ticket and took my 4 year old son to a canuck, boston game. i thought he was nuts, taking my 4 year old to a hockey game.
