i remember the play by play on cknw would fade out and in. someone would get a break away and go in against the opposing goalie. then the sound would go, and you had to wait till it came back on to find out if we scored. that was early 70's in smithers.

i'ld rather they bre-sign joshua than trade for dach and give silovs a shot as the backup. primeau is supposed to have a great future but maybe silovs does too. it sounds like the kind of trade that could blow up in our faces. -

if i die tomorrow, the canucks will have paid in full, for letting me experience the highs and lows of the team, over the years. i have enjoyed the journey. even in the losing years there were exciting moments. it's those moments that were a reward for me. when i coached minor hockey, we didn't win ever game; every tournament but the memories are still part of the fabric of my being. a stanley cup would just be the icing on the cake that i've enjoyed from the beginning. thank you canucks.

i started listening to hockey night in canada in 1945. in 1946, gordie howe started his nhl career. i use to have his rookie card, along with hockey and baseball players of the day. wish i still had all those cards. years ago, my son bought me a stan musial card. it was from near the end of his career but, he was my baseball hero growing up so i cherish it.

i've sat behind a pillar in the old furum to watch the canucks of the pchl. been to games at queens park arena to watched the canucks of the whl and watched kurtenbach and schmautz of the newly minted nhl canucks. is that paying my dues?
