      Well, if he was kept on, I doubt Benning would stay. So the team would have needed a new GM.

      Wisebrod probably would have been gone too.

      So that might have totally changed things from 2018 on.

      Safe to say the OEL trade probably never would have happened.

      I wonder if we would still have drafted Podz?

       

      We probably would have struggled a lot but we might have gotten a new coach sooner, and been more patient with building through the draft.

      Silovs is not arbitration eligible. He would be at the end of next season.

      Akira Schmid just signed a two years deal for $875,000 per year as a RFA, I would assume they are close comparables.

    i have been a fan since gordie howe's rookie year. i've gone through every canuck year since the beginning, i may not be a good fan, but i've experienced every season as a journey. a trip with the players, fans and city. win or lose, this team has allowed me along as a member of a special journey. from kurtenback and schmautz in the beginning, to now's petey and hughes, i've loved the ride. yes, a lot of losing and frustrations, but through it all. this has been my team and i've loved every minute of it. gcg.

    shannon says heinen is most effective in the bottom 6. suter has more scoring ability than blueger. suter and hogs are better suited so far, on the bottom six. i have the 6 highest paid forwards on the top 2 lines. chemistry will dictate how the lines go. imo petey needs a scorer and board battler with him, miller could use another physical winger/strong defensive player on his wing. tocchet might go in a completely different direction.

      For me it's a big mistake to not sign Zadorov.  They think they are saving dough to put towards Guentzal but when he signs in TBay we are gonna be out in the cold. We then go to plan B for a lesser forward and go doh we actually had enough money for Zad.

    i have but i'm not presently engaged in drawing. lazy old man. maybe i could get my grandson to move some of my drawings to the site. there not that good.

    i know how to draw but i'ld love to learn the art of shading so as to make my drawings more realistic. plus i'ld love to learn to paint my pictures. painting i've painted do not look near good enough. getting the colors right is another one.

      There are rumours and reports that he is expecting to be gifted an NHL roster spot and he's refusing to report to the AHL. His level of entitlement is a huge red flag. 100% no to the Canucks acquiring him.

      I didn't know about this. I fully agree that if that is his position, steer clear.

    they need a guentzel or a necas on petey's line to help maximize petey's talents. i'ld rather bring back lindholm than some of the other choices.
