Wouldn't surprise me, they have much better forward depth -
[First Round] Dallas Stars (C1) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (WC2)

Vegas has their LTIR talent back but I'm not sure they want to be trading chances with Dallas like this, Dallas is much likelier to clamp things down defensively imo -
Wonder if they turn to Sorokin next game, Canes dominated that final frame and outshot the Isles every period. Giving up three goals in seven minutes doesn't look good but goaltending is actually what's held the Isles in each of the first two games. Varlamov is the last guy I'd be blaming tonight. If the Isles want to stretch this series they're going to have to find a way to spend more time in the Canes zone, and get more shots on net.

Wow, I thought they'd find a way to bring it home. They turned it up and controlled the final period, you're not gonna win many games if you allow the other team to dominate your zone. Isles have one shot in the third, Canes have fifteen. Which is a shame, Varlamov probably deserved better than this. If the Isles had kept the pressure on they probably would have won.

Isles looking to make a series of it, good for them, there's no question that they're the underdog here. It's still interesting that 35-year-old Varlamov was the steadying presence down the stretch instead of Sorokin, and that he continues to be the guy for the Isles. He's looked good thus far tonight. I get riding the hot hand, but it's been that way for a while. Good thing him and Sorokin work well together.

4-3 Preds Forsberg

Maybe, but one could argue that Ruff is the most qualified head coach they've hired since they had Ruff Wait a minute..

I think I've seen this one before https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-hire-lindy-ruff-as-head-coach

Yeah, that's one thing that jumps out to me when folks talk about the good old days. Good old days for who? Billy Joel sang "'cause the good ole days weren't always good, and tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems.". Sometimes you can't go back, in many cases it's best not go back. Sometimes if you want thing to be better you've got to build the better future in the present. Women weren't considered persons til 1929, couldn't open bank accounts without their husbands written permission til 1964, didn't make up roughly half the labour force til 1995, and couldn't vote in Federal elections til 1960. The right to vote in various provincial elections and the federal election for Indigenous Peoples with status gradually trickled in between the late 1940's and late 1960's. Same sex marriage wasn't a thing til 2005. https://www.canada.ca/en/women-gender-equality/commemorations-celebrations/womens-history-month/women-history-canada-timeline.html https://www.redcross.ca/blog/2021/3/over-100-years-of-victories-large-and-small-of-women-in-canada https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/indigenous-suffrage One could bring up things like the Chinese head tax and the Chinese Immigration Act, the Komagata Maru, and Africville. One could point to the internment camps, children being forced to attend residential schools, and the 60's scoop. One could discuss starlight tours, MMIW, and black and Indigenous individuals being disproportionally represented within the Canadian criminal justice system and their having more interactions with the police. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/bc-systemic-racism-police-1.6744961 There a lot of conversations one could have about rights, I'm barely scratching the surface regarding rights in Canada. But time has proven again and again that people are not all treated in an equitable manner, things aren't perfect now but they are better than they once were, the key is to keep pushing forward without undoing the progress that has been made.

Next ROH guy will likely be Edler once he retires Hughes will catch him but he still leads the Canucks in a lot of categories for D For example, only three players have played more games in a Canucks uniform than Edler and they're all in the rafters
