  1. Hellebuyck's keeping them in it this period, if the shot disparity continues it's likely only a matter of time before the Avs start scoring again
  2. Bit of a weird one, Avs are a top of the league offensive threat but an average team defensively whereas Winnipeg is an average offensive team that's better defensively Both teams aren't all that great in the dot Georgiev can be leaky at times whereas Hellebuyck's bailed his teammates out all season Not sure an offensive run and run gun race favours the Jets
  3. Avs team stats have them as a top of the league offensive threat yet an average defensive team, that's what we're seeing
  4. We'll see, game is tied and there's lots of series to go With MacKinnon as an x factor you can't ever really count the Avs out Edit: now it's not tied Edit: now it is tied
  5. There's a good chance this turns out to be correct, yes.
  6. Both Buffalo and Ottawa probably reach out, he'll definitely have options as a recent cup winning coach @Alflives, the biggest Sabres fan here after you
  7. Rough couple minutes there for Lindgren and the Caps and that'll probably be the difference. Shots are still relatively close, it's not as if the Caps didn't hold the Rags to nothing going into the second, but the Rags depth is getting the job done for them this period. Few are expecting the Caps to win but they're pluckier defensively than given credit for, ultimately they lack the higher end talent and depth of the Rags though.
  8. As I said recently, that would be welcome. Thing is, it'd likely require another conservative party stepping into the mix, which I think would be great. It'd be nice if there were something between today's liberals and today's conservatives, more than likely a lot of conservatives lean more center than the current conservative party on various matters but lack a viable voting option that reflects that. One can be fiscally conservative without the modern day social conservative aspect, but a lot of folks like that will still vote for the current conservatives. That being said, one doesn't have to lean conservative fiscally to understand the money matters. I thought there was talk within the last couple years or maybe another conservative party stepping into the mix.
  9. Kuch is a helluva talent but he'll also be matching up against arguably the league's best two-way forward in Barkov most of the time. I'm hoping the Bolts get punter sooner than later. Forsling is a great talent, OEL's had a much better season in Florida too. They have good, well rounded depth, they don't be able to keep it all though so this year is probably their best chance.
  10. Dunno, I'm no doctor but fractures to both the tibia and fibula seem like they should keep him out longer. I get that hockey players will play through more than.the typical athlete, but still. Isn't worth the longer-term risk imo, they'll need him going forward and Hedman ain't getting any younger.
  11. He did, and it was, but maybe just a little more. Panthers put on a defensive clinic, they absolutely have the horses to shut Tampa down. Barkov in particular was great. Hopefully they get the next one, if they go up 2-0 Tampa will be hard pressed to come back.
  12. Too little, too late for Tampa. Florida largely looked like the better team, three to go. Florida will want a bit more from Bobrovsky though.
  13. We could be swept and I'd still laugh if they lost to Boston
  14. Yes, clearly. You're welcome. No, you may not, coconuts don't wear rings.
  15. I hate to break it to you guys but I'm not sure we're going to get to see game seven heartbreak again
  16. Swayman doing Swayman things, he's the difference thus far.
  17. Yup, a lot of folks get too hung up on who the figurehead is when ultimately he's one guy. A guy in a significant position, but still one guy. Every prime minister has their cabinet and an entire government machine full of staff behind them. Party policy, history, party platforms, these are much more significant than an individual figurehead, and they're what folks should be looking at when considering who to vote for. This isn't to say the figureheads don't matter, of course they matter, we should be paying attention to what they are and aren't saying, what they're broadcasting, but a lot of folks seem to give them more influence in their minds than they actually have. Lot of folks won't vote liberal because of Trudeau, I wish the Libs would run someone else to counteract that. A lot of folks will vote against their best interests because they don't like the puppet, as you've said. The Cons aren't interested in the average Canadian, they're interested in factions with money, and those with wealth. The Libs will never be perfect but at least they probably won't slash Canada's social safety net the way the Cons like to.
  18. Demko's the x factor imo, if he shows signs of rust it could really hurt the Canucks chances. If he's on they probably win, if he's still getting back into the swing of things it's anyone's guess, a seven game series can fly by. He's played two games since getting back, practicing and rehab ain't the same as playing games.
