  1. They have solid firepower when healthy too Doughty and Kopitar are both still very effective
  2. The trade deadline is upon us, the Canucks have already made a significant addition in Lindholm but it's hard to say who will add what. It's an fascinating time of year to be sure. Unlike other seasons, the Canucks are a lock to make the playoffs, thus things will definitely be more interesting than usual. Schedule Week One https://www.nhl.com/schedule/2024-02-29 Week Two https://www.nhl.com/schedule/2024-03-07 Week Three https://www.nhl.com/schedule/2024-03-14 Week Four https://www.nhl.com/schedule/2024-03-21 Week Five https://www.nhl.com/schedule/2024-03-28
  3. McDavid is on pace for 100+ assists, the only three players to ever accomplish this are Gretzky, Lemieux, and Orr
  4. Wouldn't surprise me, sounds like Calgary wants to be competitive while turning things over as opposed to bottoming out
  5. It's only a matter of time Boeser and Demko may get it too to a lesser degree Probably, but folks will always fuss over big numbers It's a real wildcard, if they can't keep em they'll be in tough
  6. Draisaitl will up what top end contracts look like before McDavid gets signed too
  7. He's a UFA after the 26-27 season, which gives him multiple offseasons of cap increases to drive up what his extension will cost between now and then Like I said, wait til we have to re-up Hughes, if he keeps his level of play up the way he historically has he'll get more than Pettersson
  8. Contracts rise alongside the cap, it is what it is Just wait til we have to sign Hughes, he'll likely get more than Pettersson
  9. Could being up DiPietro as @AnthonyG mentioned, or take a tender back in return A tender on an expiring deal, or who has a cap hit small enough to be buried, would work
  10. Sure, but given Boston's weaker prospect pool they'd be wise to also look to the future Swayman is a quality tender, he's also a pending RFA after this season whereas Ullmark has a season remaining on his deal and he'll be 31 in July Moving out Ullmark is actually the smartest move, it frees up immediate cap space for Swayman's extension and returns assets
