  1. Isn't overly big at 5'11" and 185-195ish pounds, will be 24 next February, has cooked in the AHL for a while and put up decent numbers Could be a low risk, low to medium cost, low to medium reward sort of scenario He's Swedish so there's that, also shoots right
  2. That probably depends entirely on what Bedard can do going forward That's probably the reality they'll have to live with, minus a Draisaitl trade
  3. I doubt it, they couldn't afford that cap hit He's also got a NMC for the next three seasons, so they can't just dump him on a bottom feeder either
  4. They almost won the cup with things as is, let them sell themselves on the hope that they can get back and finish the job What they really need to do is find a way to get out of Kane's deal, if his production bounces back they may be able to Finding a way to move on from Nurse would be better for them, but that seems extremely unlikely
  5. Why don't the Canucks players just develop innate chemistry bordering on actual telepathy? Are they stupid?
  6. 2x1M https://www.nhl.com/sharks/news/sharks-re-sign-defenseman-henry-thrun
  7. A billionaire who's a piece of shit?
  8. I like how he spoke to Pettersson needing guys, hopefully that's DeBrusk and one of Sprong or the new guys. Wasn't as keen on him speaking to DeBrusk with Miller, but I guess we'll see. They really need to give Pettersson some offensive stability, stacking that Miller line weakens the depth they can throw out imo; we'd be much more dangerous with two dynamite top six lines. Hopefully they slap Heinen, Hoglander, or someone else with Miller. I do think cutting them some slack offensively would be a boon. I like the bits about Sprong and Desharnais too, management and coaching staff both seem to be confident that they can help players evolve and get better, that's a good thing.
  9. There's a good chance this move actually costs them fans, fan engagement, and some dollars tbh I've been reading through the reception by Oil fans this morning and I've definitively seen fans speak about stepping back from the Oil and changing how they engage with the franchise
  10. Agreed I really do feel bad for Oil fans though, it's quite clear they didn't want Bowman I hate the Oilers, them and the Leafs are my least favourite teams, but as much as I'm willing to dunk on the Oilers this move reflects on Oilers management and the NHL brass, Oil fans didn't deserve this circus
  11. The easier list would be which D we don't target, this is CFF after all
  12. I do think there's going to be pushback from the fanbase, it'll be interesting to see what that looks like But I've also read several Oilers fans talk about how ownership and management don't really care about them
  13. I don't believe this at all, I think you'd miss the shenanigans
