  1. I'm not gonna count as us being divisional champs as a sure thing either, all it'd take is a major injury and things could change quickly Vegas seems to be maintaining momentum without Eichel, Edmonton is the hottest team going
  2. Sounds like he drank too much and made a pass at someone, not the end of the world. If he'd been a member of any franchise that hadn't just covered up a sexual assault we probably wouldn't have heard about it. Assuming he was just flirting and not harassing. Could have been a no alcohol at team functions thing too. https://dailyhive.com/toronto/john-scott-corey-perry-blackhawks-oilers
  3. I do think the Kings rebound and eventually secure a spot I think 4 Pacific teams make it
  4. Hard to say, only a few have alibis and I'm not gonna pretend I know who has or hasn't done what when considering the rest
  5. I dunno, but he seemed like a character guy when he was a Vancouver prospect
  6. That or like one of their three 2024 5th round picks to Chicago for future considerations
  7. Hard to say, I'm not holding my breath as far as that investigation goes.
  8. Yeah, but Kopitar is also that unicorn. As of today Bergeron is 38 and retired, Kopitar is 36 and still playing. Bergeron's last three seasons: 58 in 78, 65 in 73, 48 in 54. Kopitar's current season and previous two: 39 in 44, 74 in 82, 67 in 81. Kopitar's a bit younger, absolutely, but he's a stud and he's also a Selke caliber player, having won two of them and been in the conversation for more. Kopitar will be 37 in August and is signed for two more seasons, we'll see how he does but I expect he'll maintain the status quo or close to it. I've repeatedly sung Kopitar's praises, he's basically a superior version of Getzlaf. If he'd done what he's done out East instead of LA, he'd probably be more heralded.
  9. Dubois finding his game is a must, Kings invested too much in him for him to underwhelm the way he has thus far Less sure about Kopitar and Doughty, as future hall of famers still playing at a high level they know the season grind better than most Bergeron aged spectacularly, Kopitar is in the same league but without the fanfare
  10. That's a tough blow for a Philly team that looks like they could be a dark horse out East They're fortunate Ersson has been playing well, gotta wonder who backs him up though
  11. None of them should break the bank either, in part because of when their deals expire Podz is an RFA this coming season, hasn't done enough to warrant much of a raise Raty and Bains will be pending RFA's after next season, unless they set the world on fire as Canucks next season it seems unlikely either will have much leverage when it comes to renegotiating either All should get modest raises, but nothing that should affect the Canucks cap structure all that much
  12. I think their RFA status will have more impact when Demko and Hughes need re-upping imo, I'm not really expecting either player to be Canucks next season and I think that'd probably be best. Lekkerimaki will be 20 in July, Willander will be 19 in February, I could very well seeing management allowing them to stew a bit longer. I don't think they'd be impact players next season anyway, there's really no need to rush them. Demko has two years left on his deal after this season, Hughes has three. I could see one, or both, of Lekkerimaki and Willander breaking in for the 25-26 season.
  13. Agreed, I don't see any of these takes being unreasonable I'd expect a learning curve though, so maybe we're still good but maybe a team that wins less
  14. Agreed, both are huge blows Winnipeg is continuing to win with Lowry and Namestnikov as top six centers Wouldn't be surprised if they were in on Lindholm, they need someone better behind Scheifele
  15. Soon all of the Pacific will have shiny helmets and we'll all be poking fun at each other's helmets
