So you keep telling me, time will tell. Particularly if you look at Zadorov as more of a Cole replacement than a Myers replacement. Only D we have signed with term are Hughes and Soucy, Hronek will be re-upped, Zadorov likely gets done too. Not so sure about Cole though, he's been very good for us but he'll also be 35 in February. You could theoretically re-sign Myers and still bring Tanev back. Hughes-Hronek Zadorov-Tanev Soucy-Myers Only guys who'd probably make more than 5.5M would be Hughes and Hronek imo. Could be a cost effective D with size, some offensive flair, and some steady defensive play.

Wouldn't be remotely surprised to see Myers back at 2-3M tbh, makes a lot of sense for both sides

Sure, but we also have Juulsen and Irwin as depth RD options. With a RD contingent of Hronek, Myers, and now Zadorov I'm not sure where Barrie would fit unless the idea is to have him displace one of Cole and Soucy. I'd like to open up Garland's cap space too but I'm not sure diminishing our forward depth to add another large D cap hit we don't need is the way to go about it. If we make another trade involving sizeable cap hits I think it'll involve swapping forwards with someone imo. A three-way-deal, where we take Barrie and flip him while Nashville gets Garland, is the only Barrie deal that makes sense for us imo.

Maybe as part of a three-way deal, we're suddenly looking kinda crowded as far as RD go
