  1. If I had to guess I'd say Edmonton, Vancouver, and Vegas all end up with divisional spots and one LA and Seattle grabs a wildcard I'd say Colorado, Winnipeg, and Dallas all grab divisional spots and Nashville grabs the other wildcard spot Minny's a bit of a dark horse, so is Utah depending on how their pieces work together I don't think St. Louis claws their way in
  2. With the lack of Anaheim moves one has to wonder if there's the possibility that Marner ends up a Duck, Zegras hasn't moved either
  3. Agreed, but it's probably a low pick Interesting moves by the Blues
  4. I'd be down to give him some term, stability is an incentive. He'll be 28 in March, so 2-3 years at 1.5Mish probably wouldn't be bad.
  5. It's really weird that they didn't do a single thing. They have cap space and their GM was saying they want to add a top 4D and to add in their top six. Guess they could go after Sprong, Tarasenko, and Roslovic. Tatar and Atkinson maybe. Or maybe they'll do as you've said and make trades. Sprong and Roslovic are very intriguing, I think it's more likely we might be able to nab one of them on a one year deal than someone like Tarasenko. We'd have to move cap out to add a top 4D. Does moving Garland allow us to grab one of Roslovic or Sprong and someone who can play top 4? Hard to say, depends on the cap hit coming back. Yeah, Suter is a very serviceable utility guy, but ideally he'd not be in the top 6 imo. I think Carolina might have to find a way to keep Necas given the talent they bled. Their forward group looks quite weak without Necas and Jarvis. I'd be down for that, or someone like Roslovic.
  6. Agreed, and given our cap space I don't think we can be too picky. I think he tries, doesn't mean he's good at it. But considering our lack of cap space anyone we bring in is probably going to have holes in their game somewhere. I think we could afford to have one of those players in Sprong, and just see what the coaching staff can do. I think the key is not having too many liabilities, but we also need guys who can produce.
  7. I don't think that's the end of the world though, bring in Sprong to play with two of Joshua, Blueger, and Heinen and we could even bump Garland up. Garland with Pettersson and DeBrusk for example. I think Sprong is much likelier to be affordable as is than Tarasenko.
  8. Garland is a tricky one, because he really does help drive that third line. But maybe? I was reading earlier that Pittsburgh supposedly made an offer and they've got just over 4M in cap space. Surely we could be more appealing than Pittsburgh? I suppose the question then boils down to whether Tarasenko is an upgrade on Garland. Not as a player, but in regards to how the roster is going to be built. Tarasenko has a better track record of top six production, and would probs fit alright in the top six. Might be worth seeing whether Sprong would be open to taking a pay cut for a bigger role. Put him with a couple more defensive savvy players in Pettersson and DeBrusk and who knows.
  9. Just blame on the Number 5 Orange equivalent's scattered across the continent
  10. The Canucks/Kraken season opener we've all been waiting for
  11. Someday we'll open the season against a team that isn't from Alberta, someday
  12. Pretty sure Dahlin is their longest tenured player now and he's only 24
  13. Only five back to backs, and they're limited to one a month, that's pretty good
  14. Quick, someone tell me how many back to backs we have in comparison to other teams so I know whether to be mad or not

  16. Yeaaaaah, he's already had a lot of time in hockey. Just enjoy your millions, spend time with your family, travel, take up golf or something..
