Yeah, I think you've got the right idea. I could absolutely see a forum movement of individuals collectively deciding to donate to cause but I do think it'd still have to be done on an individual basis as opposed to folks collectively sending money to someone. It's just less messy that way. Building up funds to keep this place afloat should be the primary objective though if members are actually sending money to a mod or administrator.

Devastating news for his family, friends, and peers within the Flames organization. It sounds like he's fought valiantly, it's very sad news.

I got some feedback in the other thread, one of the suggestions was to create a mega thread of sorts and I think for now that's the right way to go, it takes a little longer but it only has to be done once. Maybe at some point we'll move back to it being a week to week thing. If at some point @Vintage Canuck joins us in a capacity similar to what we've grown used to he can take this thread back over, he's better about putting up the dates and who's playing than I'm probably committed to being. But until then I think this long tenured thread is worth keeping around for league wide discussion, which is why I thrown it up. I can't guarantee I'll put it up on a month to month basis so if at any point one of you elects to throw one up towards the end of x month for the coming month that's totally chill. We're gonna have to do some of what Vintage used to take on in a more collaborative fashion. I'm not posting the remainder of the preseason games because I can't be bothered. Some of the screenshots are harder on the eyes, my apologies. I'm not sure how Vintage managed to get the days with a large number of teams playing to be easier on the eyes.

Maybe, but with 4x8M remaining on his deal it's unlikely he goes anywhere, not unless the Sharks are open to retaining a significant chunk of his cap hit. Still managed 27 goals and 67 points last season though, his best showing since the 18-19 season. But with his being 35 in March it seems unlikely he'll find a taker, at least not a competitive one.
