  1. He's older than Guentzel, certainly, but he's been an elite tier forward for the longest time and they tend to age better Stamkos with Pettersson could be absolute money
  2. It's not my preference, but I wouldn't be upset if Tanev came back on a sweetheart deal
  3. I'd be happier with Stamkos on a shorter term deal than with Guentzel on a longer term deal If we're gonna bet on an elite talent, bet on Stamkos
  4. It wouldn't surprise me, but I can very easily see him hitting UFA. Toronto connection or not, Dallas is the better built team and they couldn't get a deal done. Doesn't hurt for him to at least hit July 1st and then weigh his options.
  5. Maybe, maybe not, but I'm sticking to my long held stance of not liking giving big money and term that takes guys into their later 30's. I understand why Guentzel appeals to people, I just don't see it the same way. Maybe not, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. I do think we could land him, it just might mean the forward we bring in for Pettersson isn't as sexy an option. I'm not keen on Toffoli for similar reasons, I like him but I question his speed. I'd rather bring in a forward who skates better. I think Marsh will cost too much, but he'd be intriguing on a shorter term deal as a guy who can probably still produce. I like Stephenson best, I think he'd be a great playmaking center or winger for either the Pettersson or Miller line.
  6. Probably Toronto, which is fine They traded for Tanev too but I won't be surprised if he hits UFA, I'd rather look for someone younger than Tanev on the right side though
  7. Maybe, they'll have to jockey with every other team that wants D though too I like to think so, regardless of which other teams are after the D that will hit the market I think we'll have a good chance at landing some players We just had a very impressive season, I do think players will be intrigued if Vancouver offers fair deals, which I reckon we will
  8. He would, Jersey seems poised to land him though I wouldn't be surprised if we end up going after the same players in Pesce, Roy, and Dillon
  9. If he'd it his way he'd have landed Zadorov from Calgary too, we were the team who didn't need them to retain
  10. 2024-25 2025-26 2026-27 2027-28 2028-29 2029-30 $1,444,445 $4,444,445 $6,444,445 $2,444,445 $2,444,445 $2,444,445 https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/sabres
  11. Has anyone tried telling him he can acquire players that didn't used to play for us
  12. Treliving and former Canucks, name a more iconic duo
  13. Yeah, we got fucked by the league with the Luongo deal.
  14. It'd be funny if they gave him a 5-7 year deal
  15. But real talk, if Toronto's willing to do something silly with a 5-8 year deal to bring down the cap hit, go for it
  16. I don't think he'll be back, and as much as I like him I'm fine with that tbh His not signing with a better team in Dallas is a good indicator that there's a solid chance he hits UFA imo The Treliving familiarity is a bit of a wildcard, particularly if they're willing to do something ridiculous with a contract
  17. Good chance he still hits UFA imo, Toronto guy or not Dallas is a better team
