  1. I don't think they'll get the chance The Canucks can't afford to wait around for him to decide whether he likes UFA offers best, they'll be making their offers elsewhere Can't afford to sit around and wait on July 1st
  2. All he had to do was take less like Joshua, Myers, and Blueger all did. They all left money on the table. Sends the wrong message to have them all take less and then to give Zadorov special treatment in the form of an overpayment. Having a management group that's not willing to overpay is a good thing.

Prospects Danila Kilimovich and Kirill Kudryavtsev are Millstein clients, so we are still a little bit Goldstar, but you have to wonder how the relationship is now that Kuzmenko, Mikheyev and Zadorov are gonzo.

One will be traded to Calgary, the other to Chicago

  4. If Dillon can bring size, tenacity, and some intimidation for a third of what it'd cost to retain Zadorov that's huge Even half would be quite the cap savings, which we need to flesh out the rest of the roster
  5. Takes two to tango, Zadorov chose to chase the money. Really encouraging to see management stick to their guns.
  6. I'd send them Podz for Marino, his cap hit already been locked in is huge, particularly this offseason. Get Marino at 4.4 and that probably leaves us more cap to go after a top 6 forward than we'd have left over if we got a top 4RD via UFA. He's also a younger alternative to Tanev, which I like.
  7. I'm glad they have, I was hoping they'd keep Zadorov too, but not at the expense of an overpay. He's a 4-5D, I'd rather go grab a legit top 4RD. If we can do that and keep the cap hit on the lower side that also opens up more options as far as getting a top six forward goes. It also establishes that they're willing to walk away, which I think is important. Always gotta have a BATNA.
  8. One thing I want to emphasize in regards to the Canucks and Zadorov is that Allvin and co have yet to overpay anyone this offseason. Myers, Blueger, and Joshua all took less than they could have got via UFA, even the Hronek deal was fair for both sides. If Zadorov is walking he plays a big part in that, others were clearly willing to play ball to stay. If he wants to chase the money that's on him.
  9. Exactly, Zadorov is a 4-5D and we already have Hughes and Soucy on the left side. If we can get a legit top 4RD to back up Hronek, and bump Myers down, that's worth exploring.
  10. Also, if teams are calling on him that kind of puts a damper on those saying teams ain't interested in his contract
  11. Also worth noting in regards to Nashville's being a potential landing spot for Stamkos, Tennessee is pretty close to Florida Also, taxes
