  1. I think so, Trotz has been a pretty savvy GM thus far He could talk to Schenn, who's still there, or McDonagh who just was, Jeannot too
  2. Seattle could, they also have Gourde's 5.5M coming off at the end of next season They gotta extend Beniers but they've most of their roster signed through next season and 23.4M in cap space They actually have a lot of cap coming off next season, Tanev, Larsson, Borgen, and Dumoulin will be up too
  3. I don't think Ottawa lands him, I wouldn't be surprise if Seattle (8OA) or Jersey (10OA) went for it though
  4. I don't disagree, it's interesting how his career has gone Always nice to see former Toronto picks/players go on to have success elsewhere I'm still chuckling about Verhaeghe for example, turned into a star and just won a cup
  5. Depending on the pick, teams would likely be happy if their pick turned into Necas Entering his 25-26 season Last couple seasons are 73 and 53 points, both seasons he put up 24 goals or more 9 points in 11 playoff games this past season, 7 in 15 the season before
  6. There's definitely a market for him if they retain, which wouldn't surprise me Getting assets back now and freeing up a good chunk of his cap space would probably be a win for Calgary, it appears they're serious about retooling/rebuilding
  7. The wrinkle is Guentzel, if Carolina does sign him I wonder if Tampa makes things work with Stamkos Interesting approach though, potentially dipping your franchise icon and captain for Guentzel
  8. We'll see, if he does hit UFA there'll be a lot of teams inquiring Nashville would make a lot of sense
  9. More than likely his value continues to go up too if he plays well alongside Saros Saros himself stewed for a while while Rinne was around
  10. He's got two cups, and there's the Yzerman connection, we'll see
  11. There's a lot of speculation that Detroit's gonna take a big run at him
  12. Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Friday that the team has acquired pick no. 21 in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for the Club’s first round (26th), second round (57th), and seventh round (198th) picks in this year’s draft. https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/canadiens-acquire-first-round-pick-from-los-angeles-kings?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=CHCcontent&utm_content=EN-0628-Trade
  13. Probably exactly why, and it's something they can afford to do after winning the cup They may just go out and look for a different RD, I think they find a way to keep Montour Could see OEL coming back on another sweetheart deal, he's made lots of money Panthers have some tough choices to make but winning the cup buys a franchise a lot of grace
  14. It's speculated that Florida and Reinhart already have a deal in place at around 9-9.5M At the low end, 9M would equate to roughly 10M in Vancouver
  15. I'm trying to find it, but apparently Friedman said something similar on the Jeff Marek show Sounds like it'll boil down to whether Guentzel takes it or not
