    Yeah, Silovs had an impressive stretch but he's still largely unproven at the NHL level If the Canucks are serious about making the playoffs again they'll likely opt for a more experienced backup, particularly if DeSmith is willing to come back on the cheap (because every bit of cap matters)

    I think the news that Myers might not be back is the wrinkle, because if they're not bringing him back it probably means they're looking to upgrade their right side, which probably means grabbing another top 4RD

    I'd wager that it means that they want him to play a larger number of games in Abbotsford If they view him as a potential starter down the road it makes sense for him to get used to playing a larger number of games sooner than later

    Honestly, considering both Joshua and Blueger take home less than him and still took less to stay, it'll actually be a disappointment if he doesn't take one
