  1. Honestly, considering both Joshua and Blueger take home less than him and still took less to stay, it'll actually be a disappointment if he doesn't take one
  2. At least he goes to the tough areas of the ice, but yeah, hopefully he can maintain his production
  3. Everything I've seen out there lately regarding Guentzel points to Carolina being determined to have him signed before the draft The Canucks will improve their top 6, it's just a guessing game of how
  4. I don't agree with everything they do, but by and large they have absolutely done a much better job Could Joshua be a middle six tweener instead of a third liner? Maybe, guess we'll see
  5. I would have preferred to have let him walk, but that price ain't so bad and neither is the term Hope he's ready for next season, with a bigger contract come larger expectations
  6. Hockey fan with a history of not liking deals that take players into their later 30's doesn't want team to sign a fan favourite to a deal that'd take him into his later 30's..
  7. I don't think Guentzel ends up traded, they're still trying to sign him. They'll likely either find a way to sign him or he'll probably hit UFA.
  8. I like Tanev, but no. Not at his age. Dallas, Ottawa, or Toronto can have him.
  9. Watch him go to Anaheim or Utah for future considerations
  10. Maybe, I do think something could shake loose for less than market value if we're patient With the Markstrom acquisition and the other rumours around them Jersey seems primed to be chasing deeper playoff runs sooner than later, maybe Marino isn't on the table
  11. Huh, that's surprising 20 year-old, 2OA RD That's something Carolina should absolutely be asking for given their right side I suppose
  12. They've got like 15M in cap space but I'm not sure whether that includes Hamilton on the IR or not Thing is, they have Hamilton, Marino, and Nemec down the right side, where's Pesce fit? They've also gotta pay Mercer and fill out ther lineup Hughes is a pending RFA after this coming season too so they'll have to keep some space open I do think Marino could shake loose, what it'd cost is anyone's guess though
  13. Well, maybe if Jersey lands him they'd ship us Marino, particularly if they do actually want to fit Pesce in somehow
  14. Garland was the guy stirring the drink on that line imo, I'm sure someone else would work just fine with him and Blueger I think we've seen the best of him too, and I'd rather allocate his cap elsewhere, be that a true top six player or another top 4RD
  15. They'll sign Durzi, but other than that it's anyone's guess They've got 42.5M in cap space though, over 50M with LTIR candidates
  16. I suppose it matters whether Carolina would or not then The other wrinkle is supposedly Buffalo's in on him too, and they have the 11th pick, which means they'd have to add
  17. It really depends, I think Carolina could get a better prospect than Lekkermaki with the 10OA. Bob McKenzie has 5 different D going before the 10OA for example, which would leave Carolina with the 6th best forward prospect, theoretically. I like Lekkerimaki as a prospect but there will likely be better prospects available at 10 imo. https://www.eliteprospects.com/draft-center/tsn-bob-mckenzie
  18. I think Carolina would opt for the 10OA over Lekkermaki, but that could also mean that it's a move that comes down to draft day. Who's on the board when could influence who Carolina trades him to.
  19. Be interesting to see what moves they make to build the roster this offseason, they certainly have assets to spend and financial power backing them now. Chychrun?
  20. Yeah, and Jersey supposedly has their pick on the table. Carolina doesn't seem to want to take significant cap back in a Necas trade, if they can they'll probably give that to Guentzel.
