  1. Maybe, it really depends on how badly Myers wants to come back and what he's willing to take in the form of a contract
  2. Having another top 4RD to back up Hronek places Myers on the third pairing, where he'd probably play quite well, and gives Willander a bit of a buffer once Myers is done. Willander is still a very young D and may end up returning to Boston for all we know. Signing an RD would probably have him starting on the third pairing when he cracks the bigs too, which is probably the most realistic place for him to begin anyway.
  3. People gotta remember it's the HHOF too, not the NHLHOF. Weber brings two Olympic golds, a World Championship gold and silver, a Canada Cup gold, and a World Junior gold to the table as well.
  4. I don't disagree Maybe next year, or the year after that, or the year after that
  5. Honestly, I'd rather sign a second liner and a top 4RD over Guentzel if possible. Guentzel is the top tier forward out there, absolutely, but I think two higher end additions would benefit us more than one would.
  6. No more moving out 2nd round picks please, especially to dump cap. We've already done that song and dance with Dickinson.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd been playing with it for a good length of time throughout the regular season Looking at his numbers, he took nearly 90 fewer shots this season than last season, he only took 263, even two seasons ago he broke 300 The last time he played 75+ games and took fewer shots was him taking 240 back in 2018-2019 Yeah, he hit 100 assists and very much focused more on passing the puck this season, but I wonder if if that was partially impacted by his having a tougher time shooting the puck, I can't imagine having an abdominal injury would help shooting all that much https://www.quanthockey.com/hockey-stats-nhl/en/profile.php?player=23497 That changed a bit come playoff time, he put up 75 shots in 26 games, but it's the playoffs
  8. Best two-way player, certainly. Anyone doubting that he's the cream of the crop in that regard, or the Selke heir apparent with Bergeron retired, just needed to watch his playoff run.
  9. McDavid didn't do much of anything in games six and seven, but while it's easy to dunk on him that also downplays what Barkov accomplished, Barkov was on him all series. In the 43:40 the captains shared at five-on-five throughout the series, the Panthers surrendered a single goal. The score when the two centers were on the ice together at five-on-five: 1-1.
