  1. Hard to say what his ask is, he may very well end up back in Vegas somehow too I view him more as a playmaking center, or a potential top six playmaking winger, but that's part of why I find him appealing All of Boeser, Miller, and Pettersson like to shoot, having a guy whose bread and butter is more his playmaking ain't a bad thing 15-20 goals is fine if he's putting up 30-45 assists No, he's not as much of a trigger man, but depending on who else they want in their top six with Boeser, Pettersson, and Miller he may not need to be Give him powerplay time and some shooters to work with and it'd probably work out alright
  2. The funny thing about Stephenson is that he was part of that Capitals team who knocked Vegas out of their first season cup final, then he went on to win the cup with them a handful of years later
  3. Their production isn't really comparable though, at least not recently Mikheyev's past three seasons have looked like.. 21 goals and 11 assists, or 32 points, back in 21-22 13 goals and 15 assists, or 28 points, back in 22-23 11 goals and 20 assists, or 31 points, in 23-24 The caveat is that he's played 53, 46, and 78 games over those seasons, but those are still third line point totals regardless of what his point per game rate was the first couple seasons Stephenson's last three seasons have looked like.. 21 goals and 43 assists, or 64 points, back in 21-22 16 goals and 49 assists, or 65 points, back in 22-23 16 goals and 35 assists, or 51 points, in 23-24 It's a bit of an anomaly amongst his playoff runs, but he did put up 10 goals and 10 assists in 22 games to help the Knights win the cup The last three seasons he's also played 79, 81, and 75 games while putting up borderline first line production, and second line production this past season Seems he's more of a puck distributor who would probably work just fine with players who can bury the puck
  4. Feels like we've done that a few times over the past decade I get that players want to win, but some of those winning stretches towards the end of lost seasons sure were frustrating
  5. It's really hard to tell with prospects, even blue chip guys. The best a team can do is draft and try to develop them, there are other ways to acquire talent but more often than not teams get their top guys via the draft. I think Lekkerimaki stands a good chance to becoming an NHL'er, but he may be more of a boom or bust sort of player, it'd be interesting to see whether he could carve out a career as a third liner for example. Willander is still very young as far as D go, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him head back to Boston for another season. Still lots of time to develop, plenty of stewing and learning he could be doing. Most young D don't step in like Hughes did. That goes for D Pettersson too, hard to see him being an impact guy right off the hop, that's a big ask for any prospect. Hogs and Podz need to be something sooner than later, Hoglander took a good step last season though. Podz may this coming season, we could really use that. We are at a point where we've seen management using higher end picks to try and make the roster competitive now, I hope they find a way to balance that though. I get that the general consensus is that we're in a window right now, but if we sail through this window without winning a cup and continue to ship out higher end picks we may end up in a scenario where we've little in the cupboards as our top guys begin to trend down. It's one thing to be in that scenario having on a cup, like Pittsburgh and Tampa, another to push your chips in and miss. Sooner or later teams pay for that one way or another, one of Florida and Edmonton may experience that sooner than later.

I've been working out on and off since I was probably 16, but it's only the last few years I've gotten back to an actual gym and started taking it much more seriously. I was at a gym for years here and there and then just kinda fell off and had my own stuff at home, there's no substitute for an actual gym though, at least for most people. I've always veered more towards bodybuilding though. Exercise is good for the mind regardless of what one does though, and good for the body obviously. Everyone should incorporate some of it if they can, though obviously it looks different for everyone.

I made the deans list for the fourth year in a row, I also hit a 225 bench for the first time For reference I'm like 5'8.5" and roughly 195
  8. C'mon Patrick, there are three O6 teams you haven't played for, pick one of those
  9. Dunno, given his age and production I reckon the Canea should garner a higher end return
  10. Maybe, but if the goal is to make a trade than lowballing for Necas probs ain't gonna get you near the finish line
  11. Yeah, hard to see us being a partner in a Necas trade given the pieces we have
  12. I'll like their team better if they're off to the side while the Panthers celebrate
  13. Be that as it may, I doubt he leaves Tampa It'd be very interesting if he hit the market, but I doubt he does
  14. I like Toffoli but the Canucks would be better off grabbing someone who's a better skater if possible imo
  15. It's impressive, absolutely, and I don't like the Oil at all. Some of it's on Florida, folks can blame the reffing, but at the end of the day they've managed to dig their way out of a hole and give themselves a chance at a cup. Now, I hope they lose, because it'd be hilarious to see them force game seven and then lose, but if they do manage to win the cup they will have earned it. A four game comeback to win the cup is absurd.
  16. I get that, I'd forgotten about the OEL bit when making my original post. As for Lekkerimaki and Willander, they're great prospects but that seems unlikely imo. I'd love to be wrong, but I have more modest expectations of their rookie years. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Willander went back to Boston, he'd get a bigger opportunity there. If they earn spots they'll get looks, but I think it'll be tougher competition for Willander than Lekkerimaki, but I'm also hoping we bolster the right side beyond just bringing Myers back. Lekkerimaki is a great prospect but I wouldn't call him a Pettersson level prospect, what Raty turns into is anyone's guess but I'm expecting more of a middle six ceiling.
  17. Maybe, but there's absolutely space for him here. He put up borderline first line numbers the couple seasons prior to this one, this season it was more along the lines of second line production. He wouldn't be coming here for a 3C position, he'd be coming here as a first or second line winger, or maybe as a second line center at times. He'd likely get powerplay time, he'd likely see some PK. And he'd be well compensated for it of course.
  18. Again, depends on the cost to move out Mikheyev. But there's also a good chance he's simply a Canuck next season.
  19. Not ideal, but it depends on what the cost to move him is His buyout isn't terrible 1.15M 2.15M 1.5M 1.5M Eats into any cap increases and hurts us a bit this offseason, but it could definitely be worse
