  1. Buffalo and Ottawa make a lot of sense and they have the assets to make such a move, I'd be a bit surprised if he wound up here
  2. If Iginla were available at 7 I'd seriously consider giving them Hronek and figure the RD bit out later tbh He's going to be a stud
  3. It'd be interesting, they both have two seasons remaining and a bit of retention would make it more palatable Laine's issue has been health, but he was pretty much point per game the two seasons prior to this one, in which he put up 9 points in 18 games, and he's only 26 The malignment towards him is overstated tbh, he's not a rehabilitation target so much as a guy who would very likely bounce back if played with high end players The question would likely be more along the lines of what we'd have to add for them to take Mikheyev/retain a significant portion of his cap hit, he's likely positive value at a lesser cap hit
  4. I imagine retainment would be in order, so not necessarily
  5. Yeah, I just don't see Crouse being up for trade. He'll be a fan favourite in Utah. If Utah wants to go after players they probably won't be moving their keepers out, they'll be moving out picks. They have their own 1st going forward, but they have three 2nd's this draft, four of them next draft, and another three the draft after that. They also have three 3rd's this draft and two 3rd's each of the following draft. Considering their prospect pool is on the higher end it makes more sense for them to spend draft capital than to move out what'd probably be a core piece in Crouse. It'd honestly be kinda funny if they went after Chychrun.
  6. No, not that one, the other one. The one that sent him to Florida in the first place. As we all know, good ol' Bobby Luo is getting his third crack at a cup so we're going down memory lane, mostly because I found a few things and think they're hilarious. Roughly 4:06 on the video for Parrish's side of it. Milbury was something special.
  7. Honestly, I don't disagree with anything you've said. Not having access to the ins and outs of deals makes it harder to be tough on management, absolutely, not that that'll stop us.
  8. I'm not sure the league would care a whole lot of the info available on capfriendly wasn't widely available to fans and media alike, they've certainly made plenty of decisions that gloss over what the fans want. Ads on jerseys, ads on the boards, and so on. Another site, or a few of them, will step up be used. Problem is, said sites probably won't have contacts with NHL teams the way capfriendly probably did. And if any of them get too big, because as more traffic comes along they'll probably get more sophisticated, there's a chance they'll be bought up too. It'd be neat if the NHL just said "fine, we'll build our own for teams and fans to use" but I wouldn't hold my breath.
