  1. The only Canada's team is the one that represents Canada on the world stage at any given time
  2. Game 1 was zero goals This game they got one Maybe next game the hockey gods give em two goals
  3. Death, taxes, and Canadian teams getting worked in the finals
  4. He's interesting but I think he'd want too much money/term, I'm also not convinced that Vegas doesn't find a way although that looks more and more unlikely as time goes on. He's earned his next deal, but I question how a 3-4 year deal would go and he could probably get that via UFA imo. Chicago could go after him for example, they probably wouldn't care about additional term too much. Honestly, the Canucks might be better off going after less sexy options like Monahan and Duclair. Guentzel is absolutely high end, Marchessault and Kane are up there too, but the Canucks would probably be better served by depth than by being top heavy.
  5. AHL legend, Jason Krog And that's not a knock against him, he may not have been much of an NHL'er but you don't tear up the AHL without having skills
  6. Yeah, the bar shifts, Miller ain't the bar. If Boeser stays he may end up being close to Miller, maybe a little higher. Hughes will be higher, probably Demko too if we extend him.
  7. Why would Kane play for the Canucks? They aren't an original six team. He's clearly going to Montreal, Boston, or Toronto on the cheap.
  8. Ottawa is supposedly interested too https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2924858/report-senators-aggressively-pursuing-markstrom
  9. Would be surprised to see Marchessault, Kane, or Duchene signing here. I could see Monahan or Stephenson though. Sprong would be intriguing, he's put up back to back 40+ point seasons, I'd be interested in Wennberg too. Domi could be interesting, but meh. Duclair could be interesting depending on his ask. Pass on Bertuzzi.
  10. At 28 this offseason is Joshua's best opportunity to set him and his family (if he has one) up for life, he's made like 1.5M (may or may not include taxes) thus far. He was always going to have to take less to stay here, so realistically it's probably his best option to secure the biggest bag he can elsewhere imo. Hockey careers can be brief.
  11. They can have him then, fantastic news for Joshua if true
