  1. Especially given he played all 82 regular season games I get not liking teams and players, but making light of what could be a neurological issue is no small thing Some things can't be fixed with pharmaceuticals or medical attention
  2. Def sounds concerning though "One of the reasons for the secrecy around his situation is that an actual diagnosis has been hard to come by, whether it is a migraine, a concussion or something else that could affect that area."
  3. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/reason-for-william-nylanders-playoff-absence-hard-to-pin-down/
  4. Maybe, I'd be a little surprised if he were willing to sign in Anaheim though right after finally getting back to the playoffs They're still probably a ways out
  5. He probably will be when it's all said and done tbh It's his international success that'll probably put him over the top He won't be a first ballot guy but he'll probably get in eventually
  6. He's actually one of my favourite players, he's a one of a kind as far as players in the league go Bergeron was a player in the same vein but didn't quite have Kopitar's physical toolbox Barkov's probably the closest comparable out there right now Kopitar's basically a better, two-way Getzlaf and could be a first ballot hall of fame guy once he calls it quits
  7. Damn, hopefully Dallas can get the next one and claw their way back into the series, it's hard to see any team beating Vegas four straight now that they're healthy.
  8. I must say, this is not what I was expecting from Dallas Imagine drawing the former champs who also happen to be the LTIR champs
  9. 133 hits between the two teams, ridiculous Wonder if that's the record
  10. I don't root for him when he's not wearing a Canada jersey, but I've softened on him over the years. I think his developing into a legit top end skill guy changed a lot of people's minds on him, slowing down on the egregiously dirty stuff too. He's a pest and he's done his fair share of stuff over the years though, no question. I think it helps that I've never heard anything negative about him as a guy off the ice, he was part of the Bruins leadership that pushed back against the Bruins signing Mitchell Miller too.
  11. He's certainly an effective player, he's come a long way from being the pure agitator he was once upon a time
  12. Bruins with a chance to go up 3-1 in front of Toronto fans next games, do they do it? Here's hoping.
  13. Haha, it would be Marchand with the go ahead goal and probable winner Def rooting for Boston, I've let 2011 go but rooting against the Leafs is always on the table
  14. I mean, I get it, but I don't see how they expected much more from the roster he had to work with They should be thanking him for a successful tank season, unless they really bolster it they'll probably get a similar result under a new coach next season
  15. Ideally the probably try to, but if not they can try and parlay assets into a top 4RD or go fishing in free agency. He still holds value but there's speculation as to whether he wants to stay, his noncommittal just makes a trade more likely as the Sens can't afford to just let him walk. One season left at 4.6, and good fit or not he's a legit top 4D, someone will be interested. Would probably need an extension worked out with a potential landing spot beforehand to make it work though.
  16. Didn't really see the need, players in their early/mid 20's improving and gradually increasing their point per game isn't exactly groundbreaking. Also, I pointed out his 54 in 76, explaining that it wasn't far off his point per game pace of the previous couple seasons. Of course playing with a player like McDavid will improve one's numbers, he probably doesn't hit 50+ goals without him. I literally said at the bottom of my post that he's not an elite winger, he is a top six winger though, one who has put up top line numbers the last couple seasons. My argument was simply that his point per game has gradually improved and that he's produced at roughly a top six player pace since 19-20.
