  1. Source for Hamas wants their ways to be imposed on everyone please. And by every one I mean all the rest of the world. I have detailed how people who have a great more deal of knowledge than any of us here on CFF don't believe Hamas' can be destroyed. How this conflict, the way Israel is now conducting it, is unethical/unjust, Jewish voices. Hundreds of thousands of children are starving Alf. History will damn the Isrealis for this. Just as it will damn Hamas' for their actions on October 7 and before that.
  2. I can tell you this, I really don't like being told what to do. You ask me to do something and I will break my back for you. Tell me, and I am not going to be happy. My dad lied about his age to fight on D- day, he didn't even make it up the beach. The doctors told him he would live longer if he moved to a warmer climate, that was the main reason he came to Aus. I have never, ever apologised for murder or violence. I continually condemn all violence, anywhere, by anyone. I get labelled a pacifist by some for my views. I am more than happy to wear that label. I have condemned Hamas for their actions before and after the October 7 attacks. If you have read all my posts in this thread, you would know this. I have seen the results of violence. I have been shot, stabbed and beaten with baseball bats. I continually preach for peaceful solutions. Posting articles and videos which detail Isrealis and Palestinians working together for peace. Forgiving each other for things most of us would find unforgivable. If you were conversant with my posting history in this thread you would know all of this. You wouldn't be asking me if I was happy about Isreali deaths, you would know I mourn not just, Isreali and Palestinian deaths, but all deaths. In all the stupid conflicts our species fights.
  3. If you are conversant with my posts I condemn all violence.... Full stop. As I have stated many times, I used to believe violence was a way to teach people " a lesson " in regards to the racist skinheads we used to punch on with in the western suburbs of Melbourne, in the mid to late 80's, when I lost my way in life. Now I promote peaceful solutions to solving our problems. I don't care when people call me a pacifist, I am actually happy to be called that. I agree that those arrests were made to break up the protests. I actually posted an article in regards to the Texas protests, prosecutors were not going to lay charges.
  4. Don't you remember Alf, a while back I posted about Palestinians in Gaza protesting against Hamas'. I wish more of them would. I kinda understand why many Palestinians' don't though. If you had a family, would you risk their lives protesting against armed thugs/terrorists ? I have also applauded the courage of Iranians who protest against their extremist regime.
  5. I know you don't brother. I remember you disappeared for a while, when you came back, I stated it was good to see you back. You are a well informed intelligent poster. I don't agree with all your views, just as you probably don't agree with all of mine. What I respect about you the most, is that you never make it personal, and you take criticism very well. And thanks for the apology, means a lot. A little respect goes a long way.
  6. I stated he was an American Jew. We know where he lives Alf. What has this got to do with my post you are quoting ?
  7. Thanks for the information. I don't know about that brother in regards to shutting down protests. That's our right to protest against what we believe to be wrong. As long as they are peaceful/non violent and don't promote bigotry, I believe we all have the right to protest.
  8. I am always a bit " scared " to comment on trades and who we should keep. I don't get to watch the games so I can only go on peoples comments on this board. From what I have gathered Hronek does seem to be a bit weak defensively. We need a solid Defensive D- man to partner Hughes. It seems like Lindholm is starting to play like we all hoped he would, and when it really matters. Players who elevate their game when it matters are the players you really want on your team. If he keeps this up, it makes sense to prioritise keeping him and selling high on Hronek, getting assets for the future. So hope that Tom becomes that right hand puck moving D- man that can drive a second pairing, and play on the second PP unit. I know that's a few years away but it's still within our window if we plan right.
  9. I know it's cliche however Defense wins championships. This is true in all three of the team sports I follow.
  10. Bernie, an American Jew, often gets labelled an anti semite, for speeches like this.
  11. I explained, several times, I have zero computer skills. I post from my phone. They were links until I " submitted" the post, then they turned into that mess. Again, I like to research the validity of not just the sources I post, but the sources of information that is presented by anyone. Again, I saw no protestor violence in those videos. I saw violence commited by security. I also saw protestors filming that with their phones. As I first mentioned, then @Gurn has also pointed out, your country has a history of shooting unarmed student protestors.
  12. Well the reaction to your post was people posting such things like, don't use our universities as places for your violence. We don't need that shit. That's simplifying them. As for being anti Semitic, are all or even most of these protests anti Semitic ? Or are they just protesting Isreals actions in Gaza ? Some people just love to call people, who criticise Israel's actions anti Semitic. I have no doubt there are anti Semitic elements among the protesters. Long before the state of Israel was formed there has been a lot of anti semitism in the US. Also there is plenty of press in regards to anti semitism in Universities in the US, you don't hear much about the persecution Palestinian, Muslim's face. How do you feel about the persecution they face. I posted an article a while back, it was about Jewish students speaking out against the persecution their fellow Arab/Muslims students face. I can't find that article however here is something similar. https://abcnews.go.com/US/student-protesters-denounce-antisemitism-amid-criticism-pro-palestinian/story?id=109643275 " Some Jewish students have long warned against conflating antisemitism with views critical of Isreals government and blanket portrayals of all posters as anti Semitic. "It is unacceptable for school administration and politicians.... to co opt out shared identity to silence, Palestinian, Muslim, Arab and Jewish students " said MIT's Jews for ceasefire, Harvard Jews for Palestine and University of Pennsylvania Chavuruh in December 2023 Congress. " These actions only serve to obfuscate real cases of anti semitism and put Jewish students at even greater risk. "
  13. And so do I brother. But it's obvious that the Palestinians suffer more than the Isrealis. If you had to choose out of living in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank, where would you live ?
  14. You obviously choose which posts of mine to read. I have always stated that there is blame on both sides. That's this conflict is a circle of hatred on both sides. And this phase of the conflict, which is unlike any other before it, in relation to the suffering, is very probably breeding a new generation of extremists. What about the Palestinians in the West Bank and east Jerusalem ? No Hamas in those places. Isreali settlers committing acts of terror. Murdering Palestinians. Stealing land.
  15. Where have I ever stated other people don't have a right to their opinions ? My posts are in reply to their opinions. You are doing exactly what you are accusing me of. Trying to deny me the right to post. What is a sexual intellectual ? That's a new one for me. And I have never claimed to be an intellectual. As I have stated many times on this board, I am just a farmer, who used to be a ski - bum. Proud of both " professions " So tell me, if you were a Palestinian with a family would you " rise up " against well armed fanatics ? You talk the talk living in a safe place. As I have stated I have provided evidence for that thing you don't seem to like, that some Isrealis themselves state, that if they were Palestinians they would fight/ resist against the Isrealis. Instead of challenging the information I present, you make it personal, attacking me. Why do you do this ?
  16. Umm.. this is what I have been stating all Thread. Posting videos and articles of Isrealis and Palestinians working together for peace. Both Palestinian and Israelis forgiving each other for what is almost what some believe is unthinkable. I have been mocked and derided by some for advocating for peace. And no this hasn't been going on for centuries. "Before Zionism: The shared life of Jews and Palestinians " " https://www.972mag.com/before-zionism-the-shared-life-of-jews-and-palestinians/ " Before the advent of Zionism and Arab Nationalism, Jews and Arabs lived in peace in the holy land " Menachem Klein's, Life in Common, is a depressing one. Originally released in english the book - which is being published in Hebrew - paints a picture of a shared life between Palestinians and Jews at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th centuries, bringing us face to face with daily life, commerce, education, celebration and sadness. It shows us that this kind existence, despite everything we were taught by the Israeli education system is possible. As the Ottoman Empire that ruled Palestine at the time, began losing its power at the end of the 19th century, a new local identity began developing out of the lived experiences of Jews and Arabs. This identity which took precedence over the religion was shared by Muslims, Jews and Christians. As I have stated nationalism is a curse. As a band both you and I both love state Fuck Nationalism
  17. Don't you believe that many Palestinians are just like you and me ? They just want a safe place to raise their kids. Food to eat, access to a good education. Don't you believe that the Palestinians are like any group of people, they consist of good people, bad people and everything in between ? Don't you believe they deserve to live like we do ?
  18. No one is. But surely you can see what has been tried so far hasn't worked. Surely you can admit what is patently obvious. That Netanyahu has been actively working against a two state solution for year's. That settler violence is just as wrong as Palestinian/Hamas' violence. The Palestinians aren't getting much aid and they are starving. The Israeli settlers commit violence in a daily basis for decades against Palestinians and they, the Isrealis still get aid. I think it was a $14 billion aid package that is up for a vote in the US Congress. Like seriously. One group is starving, and the other group who is causing the conditions for that starvation gets $14 billion in aid ?
  19. I cross check the information I source and post on this site. I use the Media bias site and All sides media for checking the reliability of sources. When I did some research on Citisens Free Press, you can see the history of their tweets. They have lots of stuff in support of Trump. Saw a video of Bannon. Megatron was a mishmash of views, the highlight being a tweet comparing Zelensky to an African Warlord, making the warlord sound like the better bloke. Didn't even bother with the Greg Abbott tweet. The fact is I didn't see any violence committed by protestors in those videos. I saw protestors filming what was happening with their phones. That tells me they are filming violence by the security/police. A posted an article in regards to the Texas protest. It stated the protesters weren't going to be charged for trespass. No mention of any violent charges whatsoever.
  20. Me get on a high horse with you ? It was you that complained about my post, and I explained the reason for why all that, shit, and I agree it was shit, came up. That was my point. Twitter is a shit source of information. I have never wanted to control anything or anyone. I post facts, then I post links to information/evidence to prove they are facts not just my opinions. I was taught to provide as much evidence as one can to prove what I say is true. I don't tell others what to post. What right do you have to tell me what and how I should post ? I just went back, and it took me a few seconds to scroll down to the next post. And already explained that was the first time I have ever posted a twitter link. I was unaware it would turn out like that. And it will be the last time I do it. This is a public forum. I will post what I like, when I like.
  21. Agree with all those things apart from religion. I respect peoples right to believe whatever they want. Religious people are like any group of people, good, bad and everything in-between. Religion must be separated from the state. No if, buts or maybes. Just as the nutjob mullahs in Iran need taking down, so do the religious nutjobs in the Isreali Knesset. However claims that a god gave land to a people, or land claims based on religious reasons are BS. You, and others state the Palestinians don't want share, well many Isrealis feel this way. Roman has admitted he believes Jerusalem belongs to Isreal based on a mythical religious text. He won't answer me when I ask how he feels about the west bank and the Gaza strip. That indicates to me he believes it all belongs to Isreal. As far as I am concerned the right of return to their countries belong to Jewish people, in regards to their return to Arab countries, just as the right of return belongs to the Palestinians who were forced out of Israel.
  22. I am really conversant with the history of Gallipoli. It dates back to a Four Corners report over 40 years ago I watched. I then did more research and found out the facts I mentioned. In regards to your comments about Arabs nations in the region. https://theconversation.com/who-were-we-fighting-at-gallipoli-13701 " ( The Cairo Conference of 1921 ) saw Churchill and his ," forty Thieves " parcel out the rewards to some favourites and make up some borders, stamping a political geography on the middle east that persists to this day. Only two Arabs were invited. Favourites like Faisal and Abdullah were given puppet kingdoms setting the scene for decades of squabbling and the eventual rise of Nationalists like Saddam Hussein and Hafez al-Assad a generation later. " And yes the Ottomans were a brutal empire.
  23. For the dozenth time When I posted them, it was a link to their twitter sites, when I submitted the post it turned to that about a minute after submitting that post. When I still go back to check it out, they first come up as links, then turn into a selection of their tweets. What I know, and what that proves, is that those sources are not credible sources of information. Can't you tell from the tweets that are posted. Free Citizens is alt rightwing site. Megatron while criticising Isreal, had a fake news tweet about Zelensky. Amongst others.
  24. I must admit that I have been distracted from the reason I re-entered this thread after a month away,by the posters who quote my post in regards to other topics. This is why I came back, the suffering of the women and specifically the children. While this is only a month old, this article details how Palestinians are " Boiling Weeds and eating Animal Feed to stave off hunger " https://www.npr.org/2024/03/29/1241148952/gaza-hunger-famine-aid-israel-hamas-war " There's no milk, no protein, no bread, no clean water, no fruits or vegetables " Tafesh says. Her kids constantly cry from hunger, begging for bread. She sees them wasting away, bones protruding and feels helpless. Her youngest boy is 4 - before the war he was active and playful. Now he spends most of the day sleeping. " Every night I go to sleep in fear of waking up one of to find one of my children dead " says Tafesh. " Like FFS how can anyone with any sort of compassion/empathy not be moved by this.
  25. You keep saying this, yet you keep coming back. And, unlike you, was a reference, to with out fear or favour. It means in an equal and fair way. Justice and Fairness. For example I criticise both Hamas and the IDF, for their actions. You don't. You favour one side, which is fair enough, however you don't acknowledge the injustices they commit. That is not acting without fear or favour, ergo the unlike you. As for facts Roman For an example the World's greatest living ethicist in regards to how war is conducted Michael Walzer, he is Jewish. He has been a huge supporter of Israel for decades. He started off a a big supporter of this war, yet now he is stating that this is an unethical war, that it is essentially unwinnable. Isrealis within Isreal are beginning to agree with this. And what about the Isreali reporter whose report details how Isreal is Targeting civilians like it never has before. He cited Isreali military and intelligence sources. These are facts Roman. I don't need to be told that killing women and children, and causing the conditions for the starvation of hundreds of thousands more is unjust. These are facts that any rational human being accepts. Now let's get your claims about Palestinian/Isreali citisens are treated equally, they don't face discrimination. Israeli source Roman " Isreals government is a clear and present danger for its Arab Palestinian citizens " https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2023-03-09/ty-article/.premium/israels-government-is-a-clear-and-present-danger-for-its-arab-palestinian-citizens/00000186-c72c-d069-a3df-c73c17e90000 Even taking into account Isreal's history of discrimination against its Arab citizens, the measures that Netanyahu's government is advancing still stand out for their horrifyingly specific persecution of the country's Arab minority. " Why would Isreali/Jewish voices claim this if it wasn't true. One only has to research this to see there is evidence to back up this claim. I have already posted articles that detail how many prominent Isrealis and Isreali human rights organisations consider Isreal an arpartheid state. Here is another senior Isreali figure to add to that list https://www.timesofisrael.com/ex-idf-general-likens-military-control-of-west-bank-to-nazi-germany/ " A former IDF general ( Amiram Levin ) argued that Israels control of the west bank has similarities to descrimnitary policies in Nazi Germany." " The interviewer asked if he agreed with a may 2016 speech by former Maretz MK Yair Golan, who was IDF deputy chief of staff at the time, in which he said that the processes in Isreal is were similar to some in Europe in the years leading up to the Holocaust. " We find it difficult to say but it's the truth " Levin responded, " look around Hebron, look at the streets, streets that Arabs can't use only Jews, that's exactly what happened in countries like that. Pressed on whether he saw similarities between Nazi Germany Levin said, " of course, it hurts, it's not nice but that's the reality. It's better to deal with it, even if it is hard than to ignore it. " Tell me Roman, why do all these Isreali voices I have posted in the past and Amiram and Golan state these things ? They obviously have proved their loyalty to Isreal in the past to rise to such powerful positions. Why do they feel the need to speak out ? This is totally ignoring what the international community has to say on these subjects.
