  1. the thing about penalties not being called in the playoffs doesnt exist anymore, it may come back at any time but for the last few seasons we have seen more penalties and more powerplays in the playoffs. which is a good thing for us. the league has been fairly consistent with the instigator penalty this season and PPO has gone up almost 0.5 a powerplay a game this season... the league is under scrutiny to be more consistent and they are delivering, just so happens its the year we have an amazing powerplay... this season is made for us... im more enclined to make a trade now that soucy is injured... Zadorovs minutes will be more valuable than garlands or Beaus... the only issue is Zadorov isnt a right shooting RD we need tanev more than we need zads
  2. well you'll be happy to know the canucks skate way less miles than their opponents, i tracked it to that little dump out they do in the defensive zone where they can complete shift changes when the bench is close, and all the puck movement with passes (lots of cycling) the Player energy management obviously has been a huge factor where we are more fresh for the second and third periods, and also has effect in other area's like more short term speed bursts, hits and shot Speed. I predict we will get better as the season develops, obviously our dominance will rescind a little especially in shooting percentages and high danger save percentages, but not by too much, maybe a percentage point or two.

  8. Vancouver Canucks 2023-2024 Mid-Season Performance Report The Vancouver Canucks have displayed a strong performance in the 2023-2024 season, characterized by leading the league in high-danger scoring, exceptional mid-range shooting, and efficient long-range goal-scoring. Defensively, they're adept at controlling shot locations and conserving energy with smart play. The goaltending duo of Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith has provided reliability, with Demko showing outstanding stats. The team's physical play has also led to drawing penalties, giving them an edge. While Demko's high-danger save percentage might dip, the team's overall efficiency is likely to remain high, provided they continue their strategic play with deflections and tip shots. Ps If anyone wants to use this for their site pay me idk? 100$??? Offensive Performance High Danger Scoring The Canucks have demonstrated exceptional skill in high-danger scoring, leading the league with their conversion rates. Mid-Range Precision With a 78th percentile in shots and a leading shooting percentage, the Canucks excel in mid-range scoring. Insert overview chart comparing league averages and percentiles. Long-Range Efficiency The team's above-average long-range shot creation, coupled with high accuracy, results in a superior goal-scoring rate. Defensive Strategy Effective Shot Location Control Vancouver's defense adeptly limits high-danger opportunities, guiding opponents to less optimal shooting positions. Energy-Efficient Play and Strategic Puck Dumping The Canucks' strategy of dumping the puck aids in energy conservation and allows for efficient line changes. Speed and Puck Control Prioritizing puck control over speed, the team excels in setting up high-accuracy shots with precision passing. Zone Time and Puck Control Puck Possession Dominance Dominant puck possession and time in the offensive zone illustrate the Canucks' control over the game's flow. Late-Game Scoring Surge The Canucks' energy management leads to a surge in scoring during the latter stages of the game. Penalty Drawing Physical Play Vancouver's physical play and puck possession often force opponents into taking more penalties. we draw 1 more per game Goaltending Performance Thatcher Demko Demko's performance is stellar, with top percentile rankings in GAA and save percentages. Casey DeSmith (Backup) As backup, DeSmith maintains strong goaltending numbers, ensuring depth in the goalie position. Predictions and Future Outlook Demko's high-danger save percentage may normalize, but improvements are expected in mid-range shot saves. The team's shooting percentage is reliant on maintaining high deflection and tip shot rates. Conclusion The Canucks' strategic play, from offensive precision to defensive positioning, underpins their success. With strong goaltending as the backbone, the team is well-positioned to maintain their competitive edge. It's About Dang Time
  9. seems like perfect Timing to negotiate a contract with Ethan bear find out what he wants... then work the phones trying to find a team that likes myers, we can facilitate a 3way trade with another team to make his cap @50% while also looking for a RD thats available. myers cap @50% seems very tradeable. Larsson, Andersson,Weegar, (sigh) Tanev...Parayako,Pesce... not ez RD are at a premium

"not ez RD are at a premium"

You said it yourself........which is why I don't feel comfortable attempting to trade for one.

Be aggressive in the off-season with the freed up Myers + Beau money.

  10. I actually got to say... its been a long time since i have seen two players Like Hughes and miller who have been so in tune with each other... really fun watching those 2 make plays together, they have come a long wat from those High danger, low reward behind the back passes on the blue line...

  13. my favorite analytics page is not popular cause they only update twice a year, but I imagine many of our players PDO must be in the high 1000's well we ran out of time, so we extended the window...
  14. Just tell people that this was the year that jim benning said we were going to be competitive, they will believe you then
  15. yes and the puck came to him in the neutral zone and with tons of room and time just shot it up the boards which cause a turnover but we regained possession quick
  16. i read or heard someone talking about friedman and assumed he got a little shook up on the boarding penalty he drew
