I wonder if Petey can start trying to get more shots through from farther out? take a page out of Hughes book and seek out traffic to get shots through.

Farhan Lalji had an interview with Gino Reda on TSN, and alluded to Tocchet needing to take a different approach with Pettersson regarding coaching. That's not good.
Petey generally likes onto hold the puck and look for plays. I hope he can speed his game up a little and let go some quick shots/create some chaos/rebound chances. Might be getting in his own way a little bit.

Sports can be unpredictable-might as well try to embrace the chaos.

Yeah well, I knew when Tocchet said "day to day", then management said "week to week", that it would be month to month. Just based on history of this clubs response to injury.
There is a disturbing history on this team of presuming a player is ready to be back and pushing them in early. I hope there is some accountability ie. Demko. I can't give team doctors a pass on this. This new injury, coincidentally just happens to be in the same knee as the one they had been working on, examining closely, monitoring, for 6 freakin weeks.....failed in the first game back.
Man I feel for Thatcher. This was going to be the pinnacle so far of his career, no disrespect to the Bubble Cup team but this team is better suited to go far. Played all season for this moment to shine.
Thatcher played 2 full games and if the reports are true 55 mins of the third game before he happened to tweak his knee again right at the end.
Thatcher is a pretty smart dude-he’s going to make a sound decision based on the information he has from medical staff and how he feels. He’s not the type to get “pushed” around so to speak.

Hughes is a killer. I’d say generally speaking this team has a good mindset but Hughes and Miller arnt the type to roll over. They are gonna play as hard as they can until they’re done. As a fan I hate seeing Demko out but am kinda curious how the team responds.

Take these 2 games in NSH would be absolutely hilarious (and awesome).
I think they can do it.

I dont think Tocc needs to a drastic line up change given how they controlled play but one idea:
Suter Miller Boeser
Josh Petey Garland
Mik Lindy Lafferty
Podz Bleugs Hogz
Lindy can still match up vs O’Reilly and given Hogz is playing limited mins it might suit him (and the team) to be a 4th line dynamo.
Still happy to see the same line up in game 3

Not sure if this was mentioned before but after Pettersson missed the open net why didn't he pursue the puck. Seemed like he might have been able to at least challenge for possession still. Instead he stared into the skies and fell to his knees. Com'on dude, you have to show more fight than that. This is the Stanley Cup playoffs and you are a superstar, not a high school basketball game
Hughes is trying too hard. Trying to carry this team on his back but instead he will wear himself out and start making bad plays. Team probably needs to do the counterintuitive thing and dial things back 5%
Going on the road might be the magic the Canucks need at this point
its funny, for all the flack Miller got for his body language Id say Petey needs to focus in on what’s important. Of course he was bummed he missed that open net but if they play is alive, keep playing like you said. he’s a better player when he plays determined and even a little bit angry . mentally he was a lot more like Hughes is now when he entered the league. hopefully a little chat with the coaches and going on the road does that.

NSH wants to embrace the pain? Well I hope the Canucks bomb it at them.
Series tied 1-1. Im optimistic about their game despite not having their wall behind them.
Taking both NSH games and silencing that crowd would be *chefs kiss*

Also, if Canucks play this way in NSH’s barn but bury some chances-look out.

Just now, Smashian Kassian said:
Canucks totally carrying play, just a bad bounce, stick with it
And Hughes bailed twice in that shift trying to breakout. That never happens
