  1. “Absolutely” is pretty strong wording. Played well enough last year but that’s when he was healthy. Soucy will be coming back so like I said….stop gaps Sure, and it might be too optimistic to hope he can play at relatively the same level as last year as well coming off an injury. Im just thinking of relatively affordable depth options. Once Soucy comes back and depending on what they do w Myers it will be interesting.
  2. Any of those young guys would be great but like you say (and also what I was thinking) their availability is probably limited at best. Odds are though that the Canucks will be looking for solid stop gaps. I hope Bear is working his tail off because he is probably the best solution for this year. Doesnt cost them anything, knows the team etc etc
  3. Figured I’d take a look around to see what sort of realistic D options there are for a trade, and man does it look grim. Peeke - dude seems to be getting ripped for basically being a massive liability in the D zone. Has barely played this year and has term…. Stanley - has played 3 of WPG’s regular season games. Was hoping Foote might be able to mentor him but he’s probably no better than Juulsen…. And of course the Jets are playing well, so Dillon is probably a no go. If the Pens continue to falter, Marcus Pettersson could be a legit decent add
  4. Ive often wondered about Garland back to ARZ. Hes had success w Schmaltz. But he’s also playing well w Bluegar and Joshua so …
  5. there is a chef that turns these massive mushrooms into ‘steaks’. From what I recall it requires quite a bit of prep work and definitely leans towards the decadent of things, but it looks good. One of my favorite dishes is to thinly slice portobello mushrooms and heavily season it with garlic powder, some salt and cayenne pepper. Add a few sliced onions and douse everything w balsamic vinegar. Bake in oven for a while. Goes really well w mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts etc. One of my comfort dishes on a cold day.
  6. Yeah, Ive been thinking the same thing i.e it’s a process. Some encouraging signs at least. I wont be getting comfortable though (post season appearance) until the end of the regular season.
  7. At a certain level it’s really all about texture and taste right? Given that we can land people on the moon, you’d think technology and ingenuity could develop healthy plant based foods that mimic (closely enough) animal based products. Im down for god tier Chinese food. Will have to make a trip there sometime. Thanks for the recommendation.
  8. On the menu tonight: Harissa stew!
  9. Please, this thread is NOT intended for trolling or soapbox ridicule. Although disagreement exists (especially ethics arguments), I think we can and should respect one another’s differing lifestyles. That said, this topic is for those partaking in plant based lifestyles or those curious/looking for more info on the subject eg recipies, favorite meals, nutrition info etc. In terms of ethics discussion, I would hope that reasonable and respectful dialogue is something we can adhere to. I personally am quite familiar with common objections to the topic so if you have a concern/criticism feel free to tag me and Ill try to address it.
  10. Benevidez vs Andrade tonight. Been a long time since Ive seen Andrade in the ring, taking on the boogeyman no less. Preditction: Benevidez with a spectacular KO.
  11. Canucks compete level is mostly good. Just a bit sloppy w their execution.
