There was rumour/speculation that EDM were also in in Lafferty. If the Canucks have productive season and SL plays a role in that, giving up a 5th seems worthwhile in retrospect.

Lafferty is a pretty good skater and works hard. I did like watching him play last year and he adds some size. As much as I hate to see Aman and Studs get waived, if Studs clears that gives the Canucks two real call up options / depending in cap/roster gymnastics

If Allvin can tweak the third line (swap Garland for defensive help) that would be a tidy piece of business. Hoagie/Joshua on wings until Mikheyev comes back, then those two can battle for ice time. Make it so GMPA

I dont see Mikheyev playing in the top 6 when he gets back. Dude lost an entire off season and training camp. He needs to play on the third line and slowly build up his mins. He’s a worker bee tho, so maybe he gets to a level he’s comfortable with this season.
