  1. thankgod these two have turned out into viable NHL players. I was really hoping Woo would be knocking on the door
  2. Wowee Tocchett ripped Joshua. Just now he’s talking to the strength&conditioning coaches? Yikes man. Trade bait?

      Silly, sure, but never happy

  4. Hoping we see Aman Bluegar Studnicka tonight. IMO tocchett wants his 4th line to play a big match up role. tonight would be a good first test.
  5. Tocchett saying complimentary things about my boy Aman. Top 3 “best in shape guys at camp”
  6. Im betting Bluegar will line up w Suter/Garland. And for a small team NA is 6’2” DJ is 6’3” and when they are on they are easily the team’s best grinders. You forget both played their first full NHL season last year. Let them develop bc they have some chemistry and attributes this team sorely needs.
  7. AB EP AK (IM injured) PDG JM BB TB PS CG AJ NA JS NH Top 9 you can just roll. 4th is your energy, hard hard to play against grinding line. Podz to AHL to start
  8. I know exactly what you mean. The odds are against him but that’s partly why Im rooting for him. And he seems like such a good kid.
  9. Drance saying Studnicka has been a standout over 2 days. Playing his arse off and scoring some nice goals. Based on what Ive heard he is a lot like Podz-good kid that works hard. Im rooting for him.
  10. A lot of media in attendance talking about how training camp feels much more focused this year. Demko is explicitly said how good/important it was for the team to get together earlier this year. That doesn’t happen if Tocc doesnt get the chance to coach last season.
  11. From an athlete’s point of view, its nice to have a coaching staff basically say “here is where we see you in the NHL”. Even if the odds are stacked against them, it’s a good motivational/development strategy. Good on Tocchett and staff
  12. Gran Turismo Fun movie. A simple but heartfelt story. Sat in DBOX seats which was fun (the pavement rumble was cool). I really liked Blomkamp’s use of different/new camera angles. Hope he gets to keep making theatre releases.

Because it leads to incoherent outcomes Dank. Like I said, a flawed God couldnt be the source of morality. God’s commands are what supposedly grounds all of morality. Instead of the problem of evil you end up with the problem of morality! That’s a major problem dude.

    The God Thread

The objection is logical in nature Dank. Sure, scripture informs some of it (God being a perfect being for example) but the problem of evil has more to do with logical coherence. If for example, we operate with your definition of God being flawed (rather than a perfect being), how can God be the source of morality? It is reasonable to suppose that whether we should morally do A or believe B because what ultimately grounds said obligations is flawed. Arguably, the consequences for ethics would be disastrous. But I dont think that would be acceptable for religious folk. So, we modify some of the o.g premises to fix that incoherence and round and round we go.

    The God Thread

Im not sure you fully understand the objection though Dank. You can avoid the problem of evil if you dont ascribe God’s value to anything (hence God no longer being blameworthy). But if you do that, you can’t say that God intentionally or willed the world we know. For every rebuttal why God would create a world like this that allows for suffering, there seems to be a reasonable counter point. The idea of an all powerful, benevolent and omniscient God becomes incoherent or unpersuasive. Humans are fallible. It is very possible that a large majority of people are either being suckered or dont mind being willfully ignorant. For example, I dont need “God’s commands” to explain the source of our moral obligations. Yet many people believe morality consists in obedience to God’s commands.
  17. Tocchett name checking my boy Aman w Joshua. All is right in the world. Unless he gets cut. Then Im back to burning everything down.
  18. his conditioning looks improved. If his first few steps/explosiveness has improved as well I’ll dye my hair blonde
  19. Will be good to see Boeser in game action. I want to see how much jump he has defensively.
