  1. Fair enough, especially with Ratys strong play as of late; I get what you're saying. I proposed trading Suter multiple times on here and got attacked for it so I figured let's propose signing him for just one more year lol..
  2. So you'd rather sit with $90,000 dollars in cap space and lose more players for nothing in the next 1-2 years? Got it..
  3. Yes the player who is currently our 3rd line C and also plays well on the wing with Miller and Boeser. $3.3 Million for one more season. LOL........
  4. Because they traded Harris and Kovacevic and outside of Matheson, Savard and Barron; all the other D are actually NOT waiver eligible and are also not fully developed and ready (Ie. L.Hutson, Mailloux, Struble). Brisebois provides a little cheap depth and no not because he's French.. Because he already played a little bit for their AHL team a couple years ago and would be able to alleviate a little bit of pressure off of all their prospect D-men.
  5. Just under $100,000 in cap space... Yes really good shape..

  9. You are disagreeing with Allvin and company is what I'm saying. Look at the way Max Sasson played against the Oilers prospects last night. He is just one of multiple Suter-clones knocking on the door. Why not get value for Suter and not lose him for nothing? Just because he played with two top players in Miller and Boeser does not mean he is one. Don't get me wrong I like him too but Suter is not a hard player to replace or quickly develop. And asset management has been a major flaw of the Canucks and a reason why we've lacked extra draft picks. With Hoglander he is obviously a still developing player and you are pin-pointing that as him not being a fit on the RW in the top six. He has improved drastically every season and him and Pettersson love playing with each other. Nils Aman and Juho Lammikko are two very different players. Aman is a lanky smooth-fundamentals versatile forward who has a good stick down low yet struggles on faceoffs. Lammikko is a stockier and quicker player who did better on faceoffs and was more physical down low. Allvin really likes Nils Aman and wants him to get a bigger role so you're idea of him bolting to the SHL is very far-fetched.
  10. Hoglander plays his off-side all the time. DeBrusk is far better on the left side and you can ask any Bruins fan about that. What happened last year is just that; LAST YEAR. Blueger and Sprong were both drafted by Pittsburgh and are very familiar with each others games. Giving Sprong a chance on the 3rd line is not the end of the world. Garland on the 4th even to start the season gives us incredible scoring depth. Aman takes hits and always gets right back in the play. Since joining Vancouver he has only gotten faster, smarter, more involved on the forecheck, and has focused on adding size. Allvin wouldn't waste scouting time and resources to pluck a former 6th round pick of Colorados, re-sign him for 2 years and then speak like that about him in an interview; if he thought that player didn't stance a chance in the NHL. Aman is 6'2, plays a 4th line style role constantly and rolls with the bumps and bruises. He is also well-liked in the locker room, young and cheap; and therefore a prime candidate to be the 4th line C for now. You still don't have an answer for where the room for Suter is in 1-2 years from now; possibly even 1-2 months from now.
  11. Always liked McNabb and think he's really underrated. He's not just a brick wall back there but also an under-appreciated two-way defenseman. I could see him being on the blueline what J.T. Miller is on forward. Great idea and I could see Vegas biting at the chance to shed cap space, get some LTIR ability (which they love LOL) and send an original expansion guy who they value; to a quality team and city. Great idea!
  12. So of all the forwards that could be traded... Who stays? Suter is the most expendable option and even at center he doesn't fit. You seem to forget that Allvin in a recent interview was saying the club is very high on Nils Amans future. And after losing Lindholm; Allvin is ready to see Aman get more of a role.. Also look at this down below.. DeBrusk - Pettersson - Hoglander Heinen - Miller - Boeser Joshua - Blueger - Sprong Aman / Suter - Garland Sherwood Very close in Abbotsford on forward is Lekkerimaki, Raty, Karlsson, Bains, Sasson and Nielsen. Four of which have one year remaining on their ELCs and are fastly improving. So again.. Where does Suter fit? And again.. Vegas has already shopped Theodore. He is expendable because of Hanifin being acquired and Nicolas Hague growing his game mightily. They have enough top puck-movers therefore and with both Theodore and McNabb being pending UFAS; they CANNOT afford that current blueline in a year from now and will choose the tougher and grittier stay at home D-man in McNabb over a now-redundant puck-mover in Theodore.
  13. It's clearing contracts and cap space to bring in majorly-needed support in net with Husso. And upgrade the blueline with a hometown PPQB superb defenseman. With Sassons progress this summer plus other forward prospects knocking on the door in Lekkerimaki, Bains and Nielsen; Suter has no future here and is redundant on the wing with the signing of Heinen. The player in the Dallas trade is forward William Samuelsson who is Canucks alumni and current development coach Mikael Samuelssons son. W.Samuelsson was slated to go in the 3rd-4th round but dropped because teams were over-worried about him being shorter... He's a great two-way talent who is showing he will also grow in height to about 6'0-6'1. Also it's been reported for months that Vegas has shopped Theodore. They can't afford to keep him after bringing in and re-signing Noah Hanifin plus Kaedan Korczak taking the next step.
  14. No I spent an hour making this actually.
