  1. You are 100% correct, they would have.. and God speed to them because it would be them now dealing with him not us.. it wouldn't change who he is playing for he is who he is by now.
  2. How can you possibly defend an 11M investment by "hoping" for change, it only gets worse with age. He never filled out, he is called Alien for a reason, lanky and thin like a twig He isn't a physical force and in the playoffs he got completely erased..an 11M player with 0 impact in the playoffs Is a liability I am sorry it's a 11M bag of pucks Dude is constantly falling, last year, the year before and surprise surprise this year as well Dude keeps missing shots, last year and this year again The list goes on.
  3. What I want to know is what happens now in terms of damage control if we know EP isn't worth the 11M, what's the collateral damage from this? Managment made the overpayment for EP is a black mark, BUT how they manage that mistake moving forward is still an opportunity for redemption so I am going to giddily await the drama to come.
  4. Honestly the sooner you lower your expectations of EP the less likely you'll be prompted to rage or knock on him on these boards. It's painfully clear to everyone (including management I am sure ) that we won't be the type of an impactful player as we hoped from the 11M price tag. He is one bad injury away from being a 50 game a year player for the rest of his life.
  5. That ship has long sailed my friend, if you still hoping to get the 11M player from EP that's on you. The rest of us have come to accept his constant falling, his seemingly never bulking frail frame and his demeanor in the playoffs will always make him a PPG player (80 to 90 points) but he can mail it in beyond that. Sorry to break it to you.
  6. Last 2 cup winners (Vegas and Flordia) got there without drafting key players - please make a note NHL you don't need draft talent to win in modern NHL rather focus on trades and moving assets around.
  7. You didn't propose this statement, it's been debated by experts already and many are calling for a legal review. A lot of evidence including ESPN putting Oilers ahead already before Canucks lost, evidence that Canucks scored 2 goals with ease last 10 mins and had fresh legs it appears in the end so they purposely held back for Game 6 and 7.. the fact that all these Canada for the cup commercials.. its Oilers year as mandated by the NHL but the legality of scheduling a win by a team is really grey moral ground.
  8. No joke every single playoff game played Canucks dominated last 10 mins, was that on purpose?
  9. Canucks out of gas man you can see it past 2 games, not enough talent to push them over the hump yet.. not bad to get to 2nd playoff round but they aren't ready for the spot light yet
  10. It's not embarrassing considering how Canucks been grinded down they don't have the same talent and offense Oilers do' just no hustle or hunger because Canucks were never expected to go deep.. Oilers were hand picked and selected by bookies to win already
  11. We know we know but no need to rub it in - Oilers look insanely fast and hungry let it go
  12. Whole period was Oilers attacking and Canucks just shooting the puck back in and waiting for Oilers to attack again.. its basically already over as sad as it is Canucks ran out of steam after Game 5
  13. Canucks don't have it in the tank it seems to go head to head with Oilers its clear now but no one expected us to get this far this season anyways
