[GDT] Canucks @ Avalanche Nov 22 2023 7:00 PM PST

Huge game, bigger than most. Canucks are playing badly, a bit on the down-swing lately, and the Avs are doing well-ish but bubbling along. Away from home as well, not going to be an easy task. Their top forwards could feast on our PK and bottom-4 defence so matchups are key here. Obviously it's Hughes vs Makar but so much more. Miller vs MacKinnon will be surely a good matchup, and the goalies are going to have to stand on their heads. Two very similar teams in all honesty, great top forwards with good two-way forwards, a superstar puck moving defenceman, not great bottom pairing defencemen and depth up front lacking as well.

Honestly don't think we'll win this one based on our recent performances but the Avs have lost some here and there too soooo...

5-4 Canucks in a shootout

Real good Top 4 - Hughes, Hronek, Cole, Myers

I think the Canucks will up their game against COL. They tend to play down to teams sometimes, but this will be a true test. The rest of the league and media might actually pay attention to the Canucks in this game with Hughes and Makar showcasing two of the best mobile Dmen in the world.

I am looking forward to the Mackinnon vs Lafferty, aka homeless man’s Mackinnon, battle.

Nux don't have last change.

I wonder if Tocchet would match up JT line vs McKinnon whenever possible.

The Avalanche are still smarting from blowing a final minute lead in Nashville on Monday. Not only did the Predators score the equaliser with 38 seconds to go, they netted the winner with just 22 seconds remaining. That put an end to Colorado’s three-game win streak. Colorado has scored 22 goals in its last four games.

Probably. Miller is tough enough and smart enough to get Mackinnon and his specific dietary restrictions off his game.

hope Beau gets moe time on that line to gel. PDG needs to get motivated again anyways
