Until his situation is sorted the Canucks can't commit to anyone over 5 million per... This could limit who the Canucks trade for .... More than likely Pettersson doesn't just want to be on a winning team, he wants to get paid too. Anaheim, while providing anonymity and money, doesn't provide Pettersson with a competitive landing spot. Let's be real, it'd take a lot more than Pettersson to turn that Ducks team into a playoff team let alone a contender, and I like Anaheim's crop of prospects and young NHL'ers. He wants to be on a competitive team, but it feels like he's holding management hostage by not wanting to deal with them until the end of the season.
